The Tale of the Marauders (Marauders Era Love story : Sirius/ Severus Fanfic)

The Feast

"Your attention please!"Professor McGonogall shouted as she tapped her water goblet. The room immediately died down. Amidst the silence, the headmaster: Albus Dumbledore, stood up to speak to us.

"Welcome everyone to Hogwarts. I would like to congratulate the first years on their sorting and wish you luck in your new houses. For those who feel misplaced, do not fret since in time you will learn more about yourself and understand the sorting much more clearly. Before I lose you all in the bounty of the feast, I must explain some rules. First, the dark forest is forbidden to all students unless you wish to die a horrible death by the creatures. Second, a tree called the whomping willow that is on the grounds is also off limits to all. The tree has always been hostile to outsiders, even staff. Now, do not fret, these years will be filled with joy and excitement. I advise that you take in all these wonderful sights and have fun. You are all still kids and I would hate for your time here to be spent in a book. On that note, let the feast begin." Professor Dumbledore announced as his kind voice resonated throughout the hall.

At the snap of his fingers, we saw an enormous pile of food appear on the tables. We had a bounty of meats and sweets to choose from. Both James and I were immediately wide-eyed in the amount of food present. To avoid the guys from taking everything, we began to fill up our plates. The five of us soon had a mountain of food on our plates as we chowed down.

"Now I see how you two are related. You act like we're not going to be fed the whole term."Lily teased us as we were devouring a drumstick.

"I agree with lily. Yesh, you two should slow down or else you might choke. I won't even try with the others since it's already going out one ear." Alice warned us as she rolled her eyes towards the gang.

"The food isn't an issue. It's the pesky trivarluses that like to steal food when it's in high demand. They could really cause a food shortage."Pandora said as an attempt to defend our eating habits. The rest of the table beside me looked at her like she had just laid out a murder.

"Thank you, pandora for the rescue. But, lily and alice have a point. I should really slow down. I don't need to be the talk of the school within the first 5 hours. But, maybe I wouldn't be like this if 3 selfish boys weren't hogging the food?"I replied with my last sentence directed towards a guilty looking: peter, sirius and remus. The whole table erupted in laughter as I had caused all of them to stop eating.

"Seriously think about my shrink comment. I swear you have to teach me your mind controlling tricks." Severus said as he gave me a giant hug from behind.

"Haha, I'll think about teaching you if you teach me muggle stuff too."I replied as I ruffled his black locks. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw the boys get a little tense at how close severus was to me. I hope that this won't be a huge issue later on.

"Deal. Congrats on your house, everyone. I think it really fits all of you." Severus said as he made his way towards lily.

"Now where's my hug? You better not be replacing me so soon."Cissy sassed at me. If it had been anyone else, I would have humiliated them but I could never get mad at her. I jumped out of my seat and wrapped her in a deep hug.

"There's your daily hug. Please no one could replace you." I whispered to her. I heard a wolf whistle from sirius which was quickly muffled by something soft. When we turned around, I saw that james had thrown mashed potatoes at him as punishment. Everyone broke into laughter and severus was almost on the ground if Lily and alice hadn't been holding him. I loved the sight of "ladies man" sirius black encased in potatoes. He began to panic a bit since his "perfect" curly hair was ruined. I quickly muttered a cleaning spell to end his humiliation.
