Summer Vacation

Liza P.O.V

Our first year went fairly well despite our massive fight. The fight made us realise that we had to work on our tempers. We worked hard to be patient with each other which was a lot of work. However, it was for the best since we could actually communicate better. Our bond was getting surprisingly stronger from our efforts. It felt wonderful that James was actually more respectful of my friends. He was noticeably more civil towards them for my sake. His sudden change in behaviour shocked and even creeped out Cissy. Sev was grateful for the reduction in the his bullying but remained wary. Lily seemed even more annoyed from James's new leaf which she believed was just a ruse. I tried to convince her otherwise a little bit but for the most part listened to her complaints.

We finished our first year at Hogwarts and became known as the ultimate pranksters. Our DADA professor hated Sirius, James and I from our constant pranks. Our other teachers besides Grandma just laughed along with us as long as we weren't blowing up the room. Grandma wanted calmness in her room and was quick to remind us after class. To avoid the paddle, we did as she said. My grades were excellent with straight outstanding except for DADA which was just good. James was had all good marks since he spent more time pranking. The girls, remus and sev all had excellent grades. Peter had passable grades while Sirius barely got passes. We were all happy with our marks and eager to start the summer.

Everyone loved coming to our house since Christmas. We constantly had people over so Mom and Miss Lola made snacks for the week. All we had to do was rummage through the fridge. Our home was the designated neutral zone. I always hung out with the boys but started to spend a little more time with the girls and Sev.

~ A few days later~

Today, we had the Blacks and the boys over today. Like normal, I had to keep the peace between Cissy and my brother. Regulus behaved well for my sanity. He spent most of the time showing off his Hogwarts letter. Cissy & I couldn't wait to start school with him. Sirius was kinda excited but looked gloomy most of the time. Sirius kept with the group while I spent more time with Cissy and Reggie.

We were having a blast in the lake. My dad had attached a rope swing to a tree near the lake. We were taking turns diving in a friendly competition. We couldn't use any magic so we were relying on our physical strength to get high. Sirius actually won so we all threw him into the lake as his reward. He quickly began to chase after us for revenge. Unbeknownst to us, he had stored water balloons. He got his revenge by completing soaking us. Mum, Miss Lola & Keci laughed as we left a trail of water.

The night went relatively peaceful. After changing our clothes, we decided to play some quidditch until dinner. James was the seeker of course while I was a chaser. I had his back and protected him against the other team: reggie, cissy & remus. Peter cheered us on from the sidelines. We won a couple of the matches but Reggie won the last few games.

Dinner was fun as we kept messing with each other. Mum & Dad joined in as double agents which made everything 10x fun. Ms. Lola & Keci were allowed to eat with us. Reggie & Cissy remained respectful even though they didn't like it. Since they loved us, they remained cordial to the two of them. I always felt that they secretly liked their company but had to hide it due to their fanatical family. All of us bunked in my room with Reggie, Cissy & I a little bit further from the group.

Cloaked Figure P.O.V

The Blacks had provided the Potter children's location for tonight. All that mattered was that I got the girl. I had to get her while she was still teachable, especially before she could be used against me. I didn't think that I would be able to match her powers at full maturity if she was my enemy. I wouldn't miss my chance to get the strongest wizard on my side.

I apparated to the outskirts of Potter Mansion. Using an old spell & a significant amount of strength, I slipped through their barriers. I was finally on the grounds after throwing myself through. I was near the west wing where the kids rooms were & saw a sliver of their window. Just as I was taking a step, I was violently tossed out to a random plain.

"Hello Tom, I'm afraid that you can't have her." Dumbledore said with his wand readied

"Dumbledore, I should have known. You won't always be around to save her. I will get her at some point. I can bide my time. I can wait!" I screamed as I tried to attack him.

Before I could, his son-in-law deflected my spell. He was joined by the rest of the order, Dumbledore's loyal lackeys. I knew that this was a losing battle & quickly fled to prepare my next attack.

Dumbledore P.O.V

I had an odd feeling about tonight & quickly gathered a strike force in case. I made sure to reinforce the side gate near my grandkids room with a portkey. I set the destination to an isolated field near the edge of Scotland. I wanted to make sure that he was far from his people to avoid reinforcements. More importantly, I didn't want him near them in case he tried to grab them while escaping. My plan worked perfectly but I kept everyone one standby before leaving with Charles.

"That was too close. Thank you Albus for your help." Charles thanked me as his hands shook a bit

"Charles, my dear boy, I would never let him hurt any of you. I will keep everyone on watch for a while. Please rest easy. Let us worry while you enjoy time with your family." I assured him as I clasped his shoulder. He gave me a small smile before I used the floo powder.

"Albus, thank god you're okay. The kids?" Minnie asked as she ran to me. I quickly held her & rubbed her back.

"Yes indeed. They're fine. We got there in time, our plan worked. I'm keeping the order on alert for a while until I feel safe." I informed her which made her breathe easier

"Oh good, I'm so glad that they're okay. Get some rest. I doubt that it'll get any easier." Minnie sweetly told me as I walked with her to our bedroom.

Liza P.O.V

The rest of the summer was fun. Mum was excited to meet my girlfriends: Lilly, Alice & Pandora. They had to pass Keci's interrogation before they could sleep over. They passed easily & got along with her as well. The five of us plus Sev would hangout since the boys, Siri, could get a little much.

The girls were slowly bringing out my girly side which mum was thankful for. Siri teased my change but I could tell that he liked it a bit. The boys were quick to support me at the cost of a few jokes. I brushed off all of their jokes since they were just silly boys.

However, I noticed that Mum & Dad were a little tense. From the daily prophet, attacks by the dark lord were on the rise near us. I figured that was the source of their stress. I didn't question their vigilant behaviour as they watched us like hawks even at home. Our trips to Diagon Alley weren't as fun as they were. But, they did perk up after a while seeing us joke & have petty fights with our friends. All of us began advising Reggie as he got his supplies. It was chaotic as he was constantly had to turn his head to listen to the 8 of us. After a few jokes & pranks, it seemed like my parents stress was washed away. Just in time for our 2nd year to start.

Voldemort P.O.V

I kept my eye on the Potter family after Dumbledore forced me to flee. As I attacked the countryside nearby, I kept looking for a 2nd chance. However, Dumbledore had heavily fortified the area so I needed a new plan. If I couldn't get to them myself, I would need an insider. I summoned the Blacks for an important task.

"My lord, you summoned us."Mrs. Black said as her family: sister, brother-in-law, & herself bowed

"Rise. I have an important task for you." I informed them as I palmed a tiny vial in my hand

"We will do whatever is required of us." She answered humbly

"Good, I know that you will not disappoint me. I need you to kidnap Elizabeth Potter with this vial. Only take her brother if he shows promise. You have 6 months to complete this task. I doubt I need to remind you of the consequences. Now go." I instructed them as she shakily took the vial & left.
