The Tale of the Marauders (Marauders Era Love story : Sirius/ Severus Fanfic)

The third year

After the sleepover, my family were like hawks on me. I was no longer allowed to stay overnight at the blacks. It was important for my safety since deatheaters attacks were more frequent in the city now. The attacks had Dad working hard, even getting back into the field. Mum was extremely nervous even though Uncle Moody was protecting Dad & we had our grandparents at school.

Despite the fear, everyone did their best to make school normal. Here we could have fun & not worry over the world possibly ending. Being on the quidditch team was the perfect distraction. We had our same positions as last time with me as the seeker while James & Siri were chasers. Slytherin had a new edition: Reggie as a substitute seeker. For now he was starting as a beater but both of us couldn't wait to play against each other. We were trying our hardest to get Lucius sick but no luck so far.

The boys & I were still pranking the school. However, we were serving lots of detention for it. We began to concoct an escape was plan. James & I found some useful charms that could track anyones movements nearby. After hearing the news, Siri had a bright idea to charm a map of the school. A map that wouldn't lie & would allow us to get a heads up. With the cloak, we could easily slip away & find a reasonable hiding place. All of us quickly began to work on our new project: Marauders Map.

When I wasn't pranking, I was either with the girls: Lils, Ally (Alice) & Dora (Pandora). They loved to gossip & were trying to find out my crush. I was slippery & revealed nothing. They were persistent though & I knew that I would have to confess soon. I needed to choose quick which sucked since I liked both equally. It just came down to whom James would pummel less.

Cissy, Reggie, Sev & I were still friends. They made me the honorary Slytherin. We nicknamed ourselves hydra. While it was a terrifying monster, we chose it for its attributes. If anyone messed with any of us, the rest were quick to defend. Everyone was smart enough to be kind to us, except for Malfoy & his cronies. I knew that we could handle them & found his attempts hilarious.

The four of us were studying together in the library. We were trying to get a head start on some homework. I was still going to work with the girls later tonight. Grandma gave us a slip to allow Dora (Pandora) to join us. We would all go to the Gryffindor common room after dinner.

We finished a little early & decided to hangout in the courtyard. It was a pleasant walk as we joked & messed with a few obnoxious gryffindors. I didn't worry since they already hated me from day 1. But, I would never let silly house rivalries decide my friends.

"Oh man, look Malfoy." Cissy pointed out as we neared the corner

Malfoy & his lemmings we're lounging on the fountain. Everyone else was keeping a wide berth to avoid being picked on. However, it didn't stop them from shouting terrible things into the corridors. My blood began to boil as I wanted to sock him. Sev sensed that & held my hand.

"We'll meet you & Sev at the lake. They'll just come there if nobody shows. Go." Reggie whispered as he pushed us towards the training grounds.

"Hurry up before they get up!" Cissy urged us. Sev tugged my hand before we took off.

It only took us a few minutes to get to our spot. There we put our things down before I sat near the edge of the lake. With my hand, I began to play with the water. Making simple objects like a ball of water & twirls.

"I didn't know you could do that?!" Sev whispered in pure awe

"Oh yeah. Our grandpa can. In the family." I replied

"That's an amazing gift." Sev cheerfully as I gave a weak smile. "Hey, they'll be okay & back before you know it."

"Yeah, but I hate that you all are always defending me. They're not even after any of you." I mumbled
