The Sleepover

Today was finally the sleepover. I giddily packed my overnight bag. My parents were only comfortable with a night due to the death-eater activity. Mrs. Black understood & was very respectful.

"Off to your weirdos?" James joked from the doorway

"Haha, you're just jealous that Siri will have me all to himself." I retorted as I packed the last bits

"That'll be great. Come on just smuggle me in." James begged as I closed my bag

"He's not that bad. Besides, I can handle myself. Doesn't he have a girlfriend already?" I reminded him as I threw my satchel on

"I know, you're so indestructible. He actually broke up with her." He told me

"Thats a shame. I thought he really liked her. She seemed so nice." I replied as I was shocked. It amazed me that he couldn't hold a girlfriend for more than a few months.

"Yeah, me too. Just please be careful. Hes always liked you. I just don't want you to be another one." He urged me

"Hey, I'll be careful. Promise." I assured him before we hugged

"Liza! Mrs. Black is here." Mom shouted

"Coming." I replied as I dragged James behind me

Mrs. Black & my parents were chatting on the couch. Cissy, Sev, Reggie & Siri were patiently waiting by the stairs. Once we cleared the last step, I was ambushed by all of them. James had to step aside to avoid being knocked over.

"I'm so glad that you'll be staying with us. I can't wait to have another girl in the house." Cissy giggled into my ear

"Cissy, don't hog her. I need my duelling partner." Regggie chimed in

"Yeah, who am I suppose to trade books with?" Sev added which made me blush 

"I think you'll miss my dashing charms the most though love." Siri reminded me

"Oh right as if school & summer wasn't enough. How will I survive one night?" I dramatically lamented which had everyone but Siri doubled over

"Aww look, he actually doesn't have a snarky comeback." Cissy teased him which made him sulk even more

"Alright, I think hes beaten enough. It'll be a boring night if hes silent for once." I chastised her which brightened Siri

"Fine, but you're going to regret it. Don't say I told you so." Cissy reminded me as we walked to the adults

"I'm so happy that you'll be sleeping over. James, you can still come if you want." Mrs. Black said with my parents smiling 

"Really?! Yes please." James replied 

"We thought you would say that." Dad chuckled

"God, you both are glued to each other. Here's your bag sweetie. Have fun." Mum added as she kissed & ruffled James hair

"Mum! Thanks for thinking of me." James replied as he tried to fix his hair

Mrs. Black went to the fireplace & grabbed teh floo powder. Everyone but Sev was calm. He nervously followed us & hung in the back. I noticed his uneasiness & joined him. To help calm him, I held his hand. He noticed my gesture & sent me a big smile. I gave him one back as I blushed even harder. 

"Now, we're going to travel to my house by floo powder. Grab a bit of the powder & clearly enunciate: 12 Grimmauld Place, London. I'm going to go first & the rest of you travel in pairs." Mrs. Black instructed us before throwing the powder
