"Hey, guys! Cait and I have an announcement to make," Barry greeted as all of his and Caitlin's friends arrived at Jitters and joined them at their table and waited for their announcement. "Well, we're dating,"
The whole group smiled and congratulated them knowing since they had first seen the two together they would make an awesome couple.
"Well, whilst we are on the subject of announcements: Iris and I were planning a camping trip for this weekend and decided that it would be great if we invited you all for a group trip this weekend. We are only going a few miles away from here just to the outskirts of the city by the forests and then return Monday morning," Eddie stated after the congratulations were over.
"That sounds like a great idea. We can all go down there and bond. And do traditional camping traditions and stuff," Cisco replied excitedly, rubbing his hands together.
"Sounds good to me, you wanna go, Cait?" Barry asked, turning to the woman attached to his hip, his arms around her waist.
"Sounds good to me. Last time all got together it was rudely interrupted by Jay. I would be nice to get to know each other better," Caitlin replied with a smile.
"Count us in then," Laurel agreed for herself and Oliver.
"Great then it's settled. Well, we only need two cars, so me and Eddie can take Oliver and Laurel and Barry and Caitlin can take Cisco," Iris smiled happily, clapping her hands together.
"Wait, I'm stuck with a bunch of happy couples for a whole weekend. You can't smooch all day in front of me, okay," Cisco groaned, realizing what he had signed himself up for.
"I'll invite Felicity too so you won't be completely surrounded by couples. She can just ride with us," Caitlin replied.
"Okay, but we still need to set up some ground rules. First, couples aren't allowed to share a tent because I have no idea what you will be getting up too,"
Caitlin blushed at the mention of what Cisco was insinuating. She loved Barry but she wasn't ready for that yet and they had only been together for a couple days. Even if they were ready for a physical relationship she certainly wouldn't do that in a campsite with everyone surrounding them, that wouldn't be very romantic or intimate.
"Fine, okay. Barry and Cisco share and Eddie and Oliver share. I'll go with Caitlin because I want to get to know her better and so Laurel can go with Felicity," Iris agreed. She was one of the most organized people Barry had ever met. The second most. Caitlin being the first. The rest of the group nodded in acceptance but you could tell that they would much rather spend the night with their partners. But Caitlin was still pleased, he did want to get to know Iris and although she wanted to be with Barry as much as possible she could handle a couple nights being just a few metres away. "So then it's settled. We set off tomorrow. We will make it their separately but make sure you are at the campsite by ten in the morning," Iris concluded and they all nodded.
...
"Wake up, Barry! Barry, wake up! We have to go pick up Cisco and Felicity in an hour so you need to get up," Caitlin shook him in his sleep after returning from showering and getting dressed. She decided to let him sleep him just because she knew how much he hated early starts. However, it was a two-hour drive to the campsite so they needed to get ready to go.
"Mmmm, just five more minutes," he mumbled and pulled her close in his sleep.
"Nope, right now," she replied yet he still did not move. She decided that the only way to wake him up was to make him want to. So, she leaned in and kissed him then trailed down his neck dropping kisses there and soon enough she felt him wake up.
