"Hey, Barry!" Caitlin burst in happily shocking the young man who was sitting reading a science paper that he had been assigned to read and write a paper on. His last paper of the term. Caitlin, on the other hand, had finished all of her essays and was now waiting for Barry to finish. He still had two more weeks to hand in the paper and she knew that his work ethic was quite contrasting to hers and preferred to do things over a long period of time whereas she liked to get things done all at once straight away.

"Hey, sweetheart. What are you so happy about?" Barry asked, inviting her for a cuddle as she approached him which she gladly accepted.

"Maybe I'm just happy to see you," she replied, gazing into his eyes. Ever since their fight, they had been even closer, if that was even possible. They knew that they weren't perfect but they loved each other and that's what made it all worthwhile. "Well, there is one other thing I wanted to tell you. Don;t worry it is good news. I got a job. As a waitress, just while you're still working so we can still spend all of our spare time together. And I can bring in a little extra money for us. We do need to start getting more money for ourselves and providing for ourselves if we are going to work out together,"

"That's great news, Cait. When do you start work," he smiled at her, proud of her for her achievement. He could tell how proud of herself and happy she was about this and it made him happy to know that she was too.

"Tomorrow and I get a discount on food there so we, well you, can eat dinner and work and I will be there too doing my job," she replied happily.

"Well, you know I'll be there, sweetheart,"

"Yay! I love you so much," she practically high-fived herself then flung her arms around him and kissed him, thankful for his support in her latest endeavour.

She wanted nothing more than for them to be as independent as possible because it was just who she was. She wanted their parents to think and know that they were both taking care of each other and handling their lives maturely. She had their future in mind and best interest at heart. It was something that Barry loved dearly about her. She was prepared and organized for everything and she certainly made him far less tardy. She had a good influence on him.

"I love you too, Cait," he mumbled against her lips as she pushed him down on the bed for a heated makeout session. He loved it when she was happy, not just because she wanted to make out more despite that being a nice touch, but because she seemed so alive and warm and loving when she was. Whenever she was sad or angry she was always so cold and distant towards him and honestly it was quite scary when she was. Half the time it felt like she was going to snap at any moment but now she was fun and playful not to mention flirty.

He moaned at the feel of her nibbling on his lip to grant her access and let her tongue slip into his mouth where they met.

"Cait..." he mumbled as he felt her hands sneaking up his shirt. "I have to work," he pulled away.

"Just five more minutes. You're the one who said I need to take a break so now I am doing the same for you. We don't have to... go there but just relax for a while," she replied before reconnecting their lips and this time he couldn't protest. Not when she was like this, so happy and alive and free.

She was sitting on top of him so he sat up and she wrapped her legs around his waist, their hands intertwined and their fingers laced together.

What started off as five minutes became ten then fifteen then twenty. Now they had started they couldn't keep their hands off of each other and simply couldn't pull away. They had removed a couple layers of clothing but they had promised not to take it any further. They were both shirtless and moving from lying on the bed to leaning against the headboard.
