The morning of New Year's Eve came by pretty quickly and the young couple had packed up enough of their things for their romantic weekend away. The drive wasn't too long and soon enough they arrived at the village where all of the cabins were. After parking their car, they grabbed their bags from the back and walked into the reception area to check in.
"We have a cabin booked for two in the name of Caitlin Snow" Caitlin stated to the receptionist. The woman at the desk typed into the computer and waited for it to lead.
"Ah, here we are. You booked it in person here so you already have one of the keys. Your cabin number is 19 and everything is there waiting for you. You are on the guest list for the ball. The ballroom is here just across the hall..." the woman gestured to a huge room behind many double doors. "It opens at seven. The restaurant and bar is there" but you can get room service by calling from the phone in your room. I hope you enjoy your stay here,"
"Thank you," Caitlin replied, taking the other key and they progressed to their cabin.
After a few minutes, they found it and it was certainly a beautiful little cabin. It was very wooden and rustic with wooden walls and floors. There were wooden beams over the ceiling like a victorian design. There was a large fireplace that burnt wood rather than coal and that took up most of one wall with a wardrobe built into the wall next to it. There was a very large king sized bed with deep red sheets and pillows. It was far enough away from the fireplace to stop the bed from catching fire but close enough so that they would still be able to feel the heat from the fire when it was burning. There was a red rug on the floor by the bed and a flat screen TV on the wall in front of the bed so that they could watch the TV in bed. There were red curtains and on the bedside table was a phone with a piece of dark laminated paper beside it and a lamp.
There was a table on the other side of the room that had a drinks cooler on with a bottle of champagne in with a box of chocolates beside it.
Only a couple metres away, there was a wooden door which led to a bathroom with a huge bath that looked more like a hot tub along with a huge shower too. It didn't escape Caitlin's eye that there was a small basket filled with what looked like body oils and lotions and a lot of scented candles for some romance.
The whole place was very intimate and romantic and they both knew that they would love their weekend together here.
"Wow, you really outdid yourself with this one, Cait. This place is perfect," Barry commented after they put their bags on the floor before unpacking their stuff.
"Thanks, I think we will love it here," Caitlin replied. "But we should get unpacking,"
...
Hours passed and soon enough it six thirty and Barry was once again waiting for Caitlin to come out of the bathroom. They to be there in half an hour and they had decided to open a bottle of champagne before leaving.
Caitlin had been taking her time, careful not to let him see her in her dress. Just like the last formal event they went to together, she wanted to surprise him with what she was wearing. Fastening her heels, she walked out of the bathroom and he was speechless at the sight of her.
"Wow... I... You..." he stumbled, completely lost for words. She was wearing an elegant, long black dress which was completely backless. There was a slit on the right leg accentuating her beautiful long slender legs. The straps on the shoulders went around to the back of her neck and tied there. As usual, her lips were painted deep red and her eyes were smoky.
Blushing as he stared at her up and down, Caitlin walked forward and pulled him by the tie close to her and kissed him passionately before he could utter another stuttering mess.
