Don't Let Me Go

Into the Village

Kouga POV

I had just left my pack in search for Inuyasha and friends. I wanted to check up on them since it has been a while since the defeat of Naraku, or that's what I told the elders. Ginta and Hakkaku knew other wise, they know I wanted to go see the Mutt Inuyasha. I couldn't seem to get him out of my head lately. At first I hated him and only wanted  Kagome for her ability to see the Jewel shards. But since they are gone now I really don't need her and I went looking for other potential mates, yet somehow I kept thinking back to Inuyasha. So I decided to come see him and see what he's up to since knowing him he might be going insane from lack of fighting.

I skid to a stop in front of the village he comes to a lot. I sniff the air trying to find the strongest scent of him. I soon make my way to the elder priestess hut, but I do get stopped by a few villagers. "Hey what are you doing here?!" "Yeah you wolf demon!" Said the villagers. I let out a soft sigh. "I'm here to speak with Inuyasha and friends. I am Kouga leader of the wolf demon clan. I mean no harm to anyone I just wish to see them." I said. 

As I finished my statement the man I was searching for came into view. His silky silver hair flowing into the light. He's strong and broad shoulders shows he's strong and always ready to fight. I may not look like it on the outside, but inside I'm thinking about how he'd look without his clothes on. He soon walks up to me smirking. "And why are you here flea bag?" He asks as the little fox demon stands beside him.

Inuyasha may not admit it, but I can tell they share a deep bond like Father and son. But I dwell on that thought much and look back at him smirking. "Well that's a nice hello. What I can come down to check up on all of you? I know we didn't get along very well Mutt, but I do consider you an equal." I said back crossing my arms. Inuyasha lets out a sigh. "Whatever. If you're looking for Kagome she's not here and Miroku and Sango are away with there kids on a demon slaying mission. As for me and Shippo we need to talk to Kaede." He explained. I nodded. 

"Well that's good to know. Mind if I join you in talking with Kaede? I do wish to thank her for what she did for my brothers." He sighed but nodded as he went inside her hut and I followed. She was making herself some tea when we walked in. She smiled softly at Inuyasha as we sat down in her hut."I see you have brought a friend today Inuyasha." She turns and looks at me. "It's nice to meet you again Kouga. How is your friend doing?" She asked.

"He is well and back with his mate. They are currently on light watch duty as you instructed." I explained to her. She nodded as she handed us all cups of tea. "Thank you again for helping him Lady Kaede. He's one of my good friends/pack brother." "Ohh it was nothing. Your wolf pack has been kind enough to do trades with for fur coats for winter. I do apologize for some of my villagers harshness. They are still at odds with being kind towards demons to a degree." She said patting my shoulder. I nodded smiling softly.

"Now Inuyasha I believe ye has something to tell this old lady?" She said with an all knowing look towards Inuyasha. "I can't get anything past you granny." He sighed as he looked at her. I took a sip of tea, which now I see was a bad  idea for what he was about to say. "First thing tomorrow morning Shippo and I will be leaving."  I spit some of Kaede's tea out in surprise. She was just as surprised as me. "And why is that child?" She asks looking confused. "Shippo and I want find somewhere where we can call home. Yes the place you and the villagers made for us is nice, but it's not very suitable for Shippo." Said Inuyasha as he picks up Shippo and sets him in Inuyasha's lap. "I want to be able to teach Shippo here to be strong and brave. I also want him to be able to let lose a little so he can learn more about his fox magic. Even you have to admit that's hard when some of the villagers aren't to found of demons as you've said earlier." To that she did nod.

"But where will ye go?" She asked. "We're not quiet sure. I'm not going to far West since that's where Sesshomaru is. So I might go North or East plenty of forests and plains space." Explained Inuyasha. "I see. Well I do wish you luck Inuyasha, but ye better come back to see these old bones." She said with a small bit of laughter. "I will you old hag." Said Inuyasha with a small smile.

I looked at them both and that's when I came up for a solution. "Hey Mutt why don't you crash at my den until you find a spot to live? I already live not to far from here and know some pretty good places for you and the fox to live around. And while you look Shippo can stay with my packs cubs and play with them. They can all learn to fight and become stronger. What do you say?" I asked him. 'This would also get me the chance to get to know you more and maybe ask you to become mine when the time is right.' I thought to myself.

Inuyasha looked at Shippo. "Well what do you say Shippo?" He asked. "As long as they don't try to eat me again then sure." Said Shippo. "I promise you Shippo they won't. We have plenty of food now that Naraku is gone. You'll be my guests so my pack will treat you like they family." I said to him patting his head softly. He let a small smile and looked at Inuyasha. "I say lets take him up on his offer Inuyasha." Said a very happy Shippo. "Alright then Kouga we have a deal. We'll go with you in the morning and stay with you till we found our new home."

I held my hand out for Inuyasha and he shook it. The moment when our hands made contact I felt a jolt of electricity flow throughout my body. I don't know if Inuyasha felt that as well, but I know I did and that tells me something very important. Inuyasha I definitely won't be letting you go anytime soon. You my white hair half demon are going to become mine before you even think about leaving my pack.
