The Stranger in the shadows

After Kouga and Inuyasha clean up and eat the food they left off to the side of the spring. They start to get dressed once more to which Kouga did not want to since he wanted to keep looking at Inuyasha's naked body. Inuyasha winked at the pouting wolf. "Oh you'll be fine Kouga. You can see me like this anytime we're alone. Besides it's almost time to go get Shippo." Said Inuyasha. Kouga let out a sigh nodding as they finished getting dressed. Kouga smirks as he sneaks up behind Inuyasha and spanks his ass. Inuyasha lets out a small yelp blushing some before glaring at Kouga who's laughing his butt off. Inuyasha starts to run after Kouga who is already running away from Inuyasha.

Kouga and Inuyasha run out of the hidden spring smiling and laughing before Inuyasha gets picked up by Kouga who spins him around. They keep smiling and laughing just enjoying the others till a small throat clear is heard. Kouga instantly drops Inuyasha who in turns falls on his ass in both confusion and anger before seeing someone hidden in the shadow leaning against the wall. Kouga starts to growl as he stands between Inuyasha and the intruder in his chambers. "What are you doing in here?! No one is allowed in here without my person permission! Speak now before I tear your head off your shoulder!" Yelled Kouga in his Alpha voice which made Inuyasha shiver some and stay behind Kouga.

The shadow let out a soft sigh shaking their head. "So I'm not aloud to come check up on the small pup I helped raise anymore. Harsh." Said a soft yet stern voice. Kouga seemed to relax a little, but not a lot still standing strong in front of Inuyasha. "Himiko how long have you been in my champers?" Growled Kouga. At this Inuyasha peaks around Kouga to see a women step out of the shadows. She had soft hazel nut hair that was tied back, but even with it tied up the hair fell down to her waist. Her eyes were calming, yet had a piercing gaze hidden deep in her brown eyes. "Since you started to have a little fun with the man behind you. Did you choose him to be your mate? If so I'm very happy for you Kouga." Said Himiko. She slow walks over to the boys with a gentle smile as she patted Kouga's head gently. "I haven't seen you smile like that in so many years. I thought I'd never see it again." Kouga seemed to relax more sighing softly gently leaning his head into the touch. At this Inuyasha stood up and walked over to the side of them.

"He does make me very happy, but not a word of this to the pack or the Elders. We're making plans to show them Inuyasha is fit to be my mate and help raise my pups." Said Kouga as he steps back some and reachs to grab Inuyasha's hand. Himiko smiles. "Don't worry I wouldn't tell anyone anything unless you asked me too. I promised your parents I wouldn't bring you any harm and help make you and the pack stronger as the Healer." Said Himiko. "You do know however if they find out that you chose a male as your mate you'll still be forced into having that women bear your pups." She sneered. At this Inuyasha spoke up. "That won't be an issue either Ma'am. I can give him and the pack what they desire."

She looked at Inuyasha in confusion before her eyes lit up in astonishment as she pushed Kouga to the side and started to look Inuyasha over. "There's no way you can be one! I had heard they were real, but I've never seen one in person! This is amazing!" Himiko lifts up the wolf pelt around Inuyasha's waist and sees the mark's. The one that Kouga left and Inuyasha's mark of the Bearer. "Its' true!!! Please I need to know more. Tell me all that you know and run a full body examination on you!" Exclaimed Himiko in utter joy with a fire in her eye. Kouga finally getting back over to them pulls Himiko away from Inuyasha sighing. "Himiko calm down. I don't need you scaring my Inuyasha." Sighed Kouga. Himiko straighten her back letting out a deep breath seeming to calm down. "Sorry about that. Bearer's have always peaked my intrest seeing as not many are said to be left in this world. Especial one of his age and being a Hanyou. Many I've read in stories would've already been claimed and pups by now, plus its even more rare for Hanyou to be once since they aren't as strong as full demons." Said Himiko.

"Well none are like Inuyasha. He is as strong or stronger than most demons I've met. It also helps who his father was. The Great Dog demons blood runs through his veins." Said Kouga how wrapped his arms around Inuyasha's waist as he pulled them to sit down on his bed. "Hmm that would make sense. I do remember you telling me stories of him when I was here. Oh speaking of which I found more supplies for my stock plus any thing we would need for winter. And I brought the one item you requested, but it's currently in my den so when you're ready come get it." Said Himiko. "I'm glad to hear that on all accounts, and sorry to make you go look for that plant I know it was a little selfish and out of your way." Said Kouga.

Himiko pats Kouga on the back smiling. "Awww don't worry about it Kouga. If it's from you I'll do my best to fulfill the request. Now I better return to my chambers and read over any notes of what happened while I was away those 3 months. Plus make sure none of my other ingredients have gone bad." She turns to walk away before stopping and turning towards Inuyasha. "I do except you to come in soon so I can examine you, and let me get to know my Kouga's soon to be mate. I only know bit and pieces about you and want to know more. I know Kouga can be a handful, but I'm really happy to see him smiling and caring for someone over him worrying himself to death. Please keep watching over him and loving him while I'm not beside him as a guardian should." Said Himiko with the most gentle smile. Inuyasha smiles back. "Of course. He's my handful of a fleabag. I'll keep him in check don't you worry!" Said Inuyasha smiling.

With that Himiko nodded before bowing as she left Kouga's chamber heading to her room. After they can't hear her footsteps anymore he collapses on the bed with a big sigh. Inuyasha lays next to Kouga who pulls Inuyasha close to his chest. "Looks like we have another supporter." Said Inuyasha. Kouga nods holding Inuyasha closer running his hand through Inuyasha's hair. "That's true, but now we have to be extra cautious when bathing. Her scent is hard to trace because of the herbs shes always around she smells more like them then a wolf. But I am glad she's back and supports my decision. I'll tell her more about our situation later. I'm worn out after all of this." Said Kouga. "I'll stay here while you sleep then Kouga, but know I do have to go get Shippo once you do." Said Inuyasha. Kouga nods as he closes his eyes relaxing against Inuyasha as he slowly drifts off to sleep.
