3rd Person POV

Kouga had just gotten back with the other Alpha's with a bounty of meat to cook for tonight and to store up for the upcoming winter. They laid some of the meat in the kitchen to be cooked while handing the rest off to the Beta's in charge of storing the food.  Kouga looked around and notice that some of the Betas were missing. He walk over to one of the cooks confused. "Where are all of the other Betas?" I asked. This seems to startle him a bit. He turns and looks at Kouga nervously. "I-I'm sorry Prim Alpha, but a few of the Beta's were called in to help mend to a sick male that collapsed. He is very strong, and refused to let anyone touch him. A few Betas got some few scratches on themselves for trying to help him, but they do not blame him for attacking them."

The male Beta sighed softly. "I feel bad for him for having gone through that pain, it's hard for a beta when they fear rejection or have been rejected. It sends a massive pain into their chests as if they've been stabbed straight into the heart, but I don't understand why an Alpha would reject him. He is very handsome from what I hear and very strong like that of an Alpha. He would help raise their adoptive pups well." Kouga nodded his head as he listened.

For a Beta rejection is the worst thing for them, some have even died of heartbreak. A Beta, wither male or female, is always loyal to their Alpha and will shower their family in love. But sadly male Beta's have a hard time finding an Alpha to take them. Since most males want females to have pups, and female Alphas are at times hard to come by that are very loving to their male Beta's. He would never go through that, but he's close friend is a Beta and he saw him go through it before he found his true mate. No beta female or male should ever feel that way, but who could this beta be? He hadn't heard about any betas seeking a mate yet.

"Where are they keeping this Beta? I wish to see them and make sure they are alright." Said Kouga with concern in his voice.  The male looked at him confused. "Of course. He's in your chambers Sir. He was the guest you brought in with you, did you not kn---." At that Kouga ran off to his quarters to confirm this himself. Was Inuyasha really a beta this whole time. I mean it does make some sense as to why he's protective of Shippo, but he wasn't like that before. So what changed him, and why was he suffering. Kouga had so many questions going through his head with the concern of the white haired Hanyou.

He finally made it to his den he reached for the curtains but stopped. He calmed his mind and body for he did not want Inuyasha to become scared of him while in this state. He wants to help him feel better for he still loved the mutt. Kouga reached for the curtains and pushed them to the side and the sight before him broke his heart.

Inuyasha was curled up on his side and his ears laid flat against his head.  He was whining softly as the others stayed close to him and comfort him. Ginta sees Kougathen looks back down at Inuyasha. He slowly gets up to be replaced by a female as he walks over to Kouga. "What happened Ginta? He was fine when I left him with you." He lets a small growl slip from his lips as he looks at his friend. "I-I don't know Kouga. One minute we are talking as he lays on your bed. I turn my back for one second to get a drink of water and when I look back to see if he wants a drink he's clutching his chest in pain. I yelled his name and ran over to him thinking he might be getting sick so I tried to touch his forehead for a fever and... Then he clawed at me and growled in warning. He wouldn't stop clutching his chest and whispering 'He's gonna reject me.' 'Who would want me, a ugly Hanyou.' And some other means things I wish to not repeat." Said Ginta.

They both look over at Inuyasha who is still whimpering and is starting to cry some. "From the looks of it he already feels like the man he wants will reject him. It's so strange to see the normal strong and confident Inuyasha, become like this so weak and vulnerable." Whispered Ginta. Kouga felt the same. It pained him so much to see Inuyasha likes this, it hurts him more than when he watched as his pack mates were slaughtered in front of him. For Inuyasha never shows his weakness, he even tried very hard to hide himself when it was the night of the New Moons. He never wanted to be seen as weak because of what he was so he never really let his emotions take over, but here he is. Feeling rejected and weak because the man he wishes to be mates with will already not want him.

That didn't set right with Kouga, Inuyasha was an amazing man, stubborn as hell, but still amazing. He cares for pups of kinds, can help protect them and teach them to fight along side his mate. He knows when to stand up for himself and when to back down in a sense, he won't fully because he's stubborn but that's what makes him Inuyasha. He is also very handsome no matter the form he takes, both are drop dead gorgeous. Shoot Kouga was already struggling to keep his hands to himself when they fought, but after he saw his human form it became even harder.

Kouga was tired of seeing Inuyasha like this so he walked over to Inuyasha. Ginta tried to stop him, but it didn't work. Kouga wanted, no needed to comfort Inuyasha. He stopped in front of his bed and the betas that surrounded Inuyasha moved away from him. Kouga slow climbed onto his bed and changed into his wolf form. It was massive compared to the rest of his packs wolf forms they took. In this form Kouga was as tall as his normal self and as long as human body. His fur was pitch black and silk to the touch as his eyes had turned a vibrant red. Once Kouga's transformation was done he curled around Inuyasha protectively, upon Kouga curling around Inuyasha he seemed to relax more than before and nuzzled into his fur. Kouga growled at everyone in the room as a warning to leave, and they all left except for Ginta who stayed off to the side.

"I'll make sure you two will be left alone and I'll get Shippo later if he still hasn't calmed down. I don't think Shippo should see to much of this." Said Ginta. Kouga nodded his head as he looked down at Inuyasha who has fallen asleep curled up against Kouga. Kouga feels his heart fill with more love for the mutt and want to kill the person that made Inuyasha like this. Ginta left the room and stood out in front of the door. Kouga's tail soon covered up Inuyasha to help keep him covered for warmth and protection. That's when sleep started to take over Kouga as well so he decide to join him. Just before sleep took him he gentle licked Inuyasha's check in comfort, to which he received a small smile from the sleeping Inuyasha.

It was then Kouga knew he was going to do everything he can to make Inuyasha forget about the man who did this to him, and instead make Inuyasha fall in love with him. Because this felt so right to him. Having Inuyasha curled up beside him for warmth and protection, wanting to feel loved and needed be someone. This is what they both needed from the other and Kouga was more than happy to give this to Inuyasha as long as the Hanyou was okay with it.

With those thoughts in mind Kouga drifted off to sleep with Inuyasha dreaming about what it would be like to have a family together.
