Don't Let Me Go

Phase Two (1)

Kouga and Inuyasha picked up their catches and made their way back to the den at a fast pace. They were both in a happy mood now that each were able to express their feelings for the other, but they made sure to stay a apart from each other. If they got to close they might try to go after the other, not that Kouga would've minded. Once back at the den they laid their catches at with the others. Kouga's was the biggest so far and in second was Inuyasha. "Kouga these catches are perfect! You and Inuyasha really do have great eyes and skills for hunting." Said Ginta as he looks over the buck and boar. He then winks at Inuyasha with a thumps up igniting phase two. The rest of the hunters and pack look at them noth as well as the catches. Some ever start to whisper and talk about it.

At that Kouga pats Inuyasha's back then wraps his arm around his neck. "Yeah you'd think he was already part of the pack. Though he does have great experience and knowledge leaving on his own for so long." Said Kouga smirking. Inuyasha reddens some then looks at the pack. "I just want to help out as much as I can, so please feel free to ask me for help. I don't want to be a free loader, and I want to pull my weight in the pack." Said Inuyasha. The wolves seemed to like that answered and some came to surround Kouga and Inuyasha. Some asked to train with the Hanyo, where as some wanted to learn some of his hunting tricks.

So far the next phase of the plan was going smoothly as Kouga expected. His pack had become a lot more welcoming to new ideas and people after we meet Inuyasha and his friends. Kouga hates to admit it, but if it wasn't for Kagome showing them that demons can work beside humans they might've not survived after the slaughter of their family. It was also because of her that Kouga found the mate he had been searching for his whole life. He wanted to give Inuyasha everything he could, and he'll work just as hard to help him with this plan.

After a while the pack seemed to have calmed down around Inuyasha and Kouga and returned to their earlier duties. "Seems you're gonna be busy the next few days, huh?" Said Kouga patting Inuyasha's head. Inuyasha nods smiling. "That's what it seems like, but that's good." Said Inuyasha with a smile. "Since it'll be a bit before dinner will be cooked. Would you like to go bath? You can either use the one in my quarters or the main one for everyone. Or you can accompany me to run some quick checks on how everyone is doing today." Said Kouga.

Inuyasha thought for a minute then looked up at Kouga. "I'll join you Kouga if that is alright. I'll bath after I eat tonight." Said Inuyasha. Kouga nodded turning towards Ginta. "I owe you and Hakkuka later and started to walk deeper into the cave with Inuyasha following not to far behind him. They soon made their rounds around the cave, and it seemed word spread pretty fast about Inuyasha's catch and him wanting to help out. A few of the young hunters were wanting tips, where as a few of the helpers asked if he knew how to care for children. Some even wanted to hear stories of his adventures and how he ended up here. With every new place they went Inuyasha smiled and was more then happy to answer the questions, and promised to stop by again to tell stories to the little ones. It seems the pack is already starting to warm up to him which warmed Kouga's heart. His pack was seeing Inuyasha already one of us even though he hasn't been here much.

As they made their way back to the main hub area of the cave Kouga put his hand out in front Inuyasha, causing Inuyasha to stop. "Why are we stopping K-Mphhh?!? "Asked a muffled Inuyasha. Inuyasha glared up at Kouga before he saw the seriousness in his eyes and the slight tremble in his hand. Inuyasha then looks towards the crowd and sees a beautiful female wolf. Her hair was as white as pure snow that went down to her waist, had piercing deep blue eyes, red lips that looked like roses, and looked to have a sense of maturity and grace of a women. All the wolves were studded by her beauty and seemed to stay a good distance from her. The only person close to her was the main head Elder as he bowed before her.

"Ahh what an unexpected surprise for you to grace us with your presence Lady Kiki. Might I say your looks seem to go even beyond your last visit." Said the Elder. She let out a small laugh and covered her lips. "Ohh Elder Kyoma you flatter me. I just came to see my sister. It has been far to long since I've seen my elder sister. She has asked me to stay here for some time as well." Said Kiki. "Oh of course, right this way. I'm sure Suki would love to see you." Said Kyoma as he bows. Kyoma leads the way into the cave away from Kouga and Inuyasha. Once they are deep into the cave Kouga sighs softly and releases his grip around Inuyasha's mouth. Inuyasha then looks up in concern for Kouga.

"Kouga what was that all about?" Asked Inuyasha softly. Kouga sighs again and rubs Inuyasha's head softly. "No point in trying to hide this from you. That women was Lady Kiki of the North Wolf tribe. She is the younger sister of Elder Suki. She was the wolf with silver and black fur off the side of the others." Explained Kouga. He then paused for a second as he clenched his fists some. "And I believe she is the women the Elders have picked for me to mate with." He said the last part in discuss. Inuyasha let out a slight growl at that and grabbed onto Kouga's arm. "There is no way I'm giving you up, if she's gonna be staying here. I'll just show her too that you're mine and I'm yours." Said Inuyasha.

Kouga let out a chuckle and made sure no one can see or hear them. Kouga quickly leans down and kisses Inuyasha. This seems to help calm down the easily pissed Hanyou, who instantly relaxed into the kiss and Kouga's arms. The kiss didn't last as long as either of them wanted, but it was enough for them, for now.~ "You know you're sexy when you get pissed Mutt.~" Teased Kouga. Inuyasha reddened a bit punching softly in the arm. "Sh-Shut up Flea bag." Stuttered Inuyasha. Kouaga laughed quietly before seeming to return back to his normal self. "Come on lets go eat. We can worry about them later. I want to enjoy eating with you and talk with you while we're alone. So lets grab some food and go hide out in my room so we can do that?" Said Kouga.

Inuyasha smiled nodding his head before running past Kouga laughing. "Then hurry up Kouga ya slow poke!" Yelled Inuyasha. "Hey that's not fair you cheated Mutt! Don't forget who you just challenged Inuyasha!!" Yelled back Kouga who was smiling as he easily caught up to Inuyasha.
