Don't Let Me Go

Untitled Part 5

Kouga POV

I wonder how the Mutt is doing with Ginta dragging him around the den. I let out a sigh as I look over the cliff looking for some big catches to find. I would have rather Inuyasha been here, this way we could have a competition and see who caught the biggest deer or finish. But instead I'm stuck here alone while Hakkaku is off fishing. We need to bring in a lot today since Inuyasha and Shippo get to stay here. Inuyasha himself can eat just about the entire packs food himself, but I know he would leave some for the kids. Inuyasha may act all tough and rough, but anyone can see he does have a small soft spot for kids and Mothers. Maybe it has to do with his Mother being human? I don't know.

In the distance I hear a branch break. "Ohh the hunt is on now!" I yell as I take off in a wild run to catch the meat I heard off to the west of the den. Maybe if I catch a big enough one Inuyasha will eat it with me and I can get to know him more. With that  thought in mind I moved even quicker trying to catch  that deer so I could hurry back to Inuyasha.

Inuyasha POV

Ginta has just brought me and Shippo the pup area. Here some of the male and female wolves take care of the young pups. A few male and female wolves train the pups and the others care and feed the younger ones. The ones training must be the Dominate parent while the Submissive are the other. A smile appeared on my face as I see Shippo run off to play with the pups and show them he tricks. "I'm glad Shippo is already making friends." Says Ginta.  I nod and look at him as a small smile appears on my face. "Me too."

Ginta smiles and pats my back. "You'll be here helping train the young pups for a while unless we need help gathering food, but if you happen to see a pup hurt. Do help them if the others can't." He explains. I nod as I look at Ginta. "Good. Now follow me, I'll be showing you where you and Shippo will be staying. Shippo can stay here and play/train with the other pups." "Sounds good to me." I turn to Shippo. "Shippo behave yourself. I'll be back in a few!" He nods waving at me. "Okay will do Daddy!"

Ginta chuckles to which I punch him square on the head. A quick bump appears in his head. "Don't laugh at my child." With that I walked in front of him. "I-Inuyasha wait up!"

We walked a majority in silence to Kouga living quarter's. Ginta would sometimes explain more stuff to me about the pack so I was to know what I got myself into, but a few things he did tell weren't about the pack. They were about Kouga.  He had told me stories about Kouga when he was younger and how he became the new Alpha male. His Father, the previous Alpha before he was beaten by his son Kouga, was killed by Kagura. This had upset him a great deal since it wasn't his father that gave him the mark of Alpha, but the elders since his mother was dead as well. Kouga was just like me, he has no parents but he does have a family. 

"And that's we run things here. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me them." Said Ginta. "Umm can I ask one and you speak no word of it to Kouga." I look at the wolf.  "Of course!" He said excited. "As you know during the night of the full moons I turn human. I was wounder on that I can stay locked up in here in Kouga's den? I know you guys have given up on humans as food, but I can't really fight back on those nights. And like to see the next morning if that's not to much trouble." I said. "Sure I can work with the Alpha's and make it to where that day you have off." "Thanks." I smile some and pat his shoulder. "And what you said about the Alpha's, I'm guessing you're a beta wolf?" As soon as I said that he started to turn red. "Y-Yeah I am, but I'm allowed to work as both a trainer and care giver do to the fact I'm strong and kind." I nod. "I won't ask who your lover is, but I'm sure it has to do with a certain mohawk wolf." I say with a smirk. He became even more embarrassed and jumbled a few words.

After he finally calmed back down we had arrived at Kouga's den. I walked in and looked around, the place had such a deep smell of Kouga to it. At least it won't be hard to find because of it. I sighed softly as I keep looking around. The room was huge compared to other rooms I've seen, but it makes sense with him being the Alpha. It has plenty of room for him and his family when he wants one. The bed was made of hay and plenty of fur pelts and blankets so he could keep warm in the winter wind. I felt the pelts  relaxing  some as a small blush comes upon my face before looking back at Ginta. 

"Are we gonna have to share the bed?" I asked. "That I don't know. That's for you and Kouga to discuss. There is a room off to the side for Shippo though since Kouga doesn't have his own pups yet." I nod. "I'll talk with him about that later then." I sigh before looking back at the bed feeling my chest tighten at the thought of sleeping with Kouga on the same bed. A part of me was happy the other part didn't want to because it was afraid that Kouga would realize my feelings for him, then proceed to kick him out and never talk to him again.

I started panting heavily as I clutch my chest as I lay down on the bed. "O-Ohh no!! Inuyasha~!!!" I heard someone scream, but I couldn't tell who it was. My chest hurt so much...

Please don't hurt me about the cliff hanger. I'll update it as soon as I can! The next one will a little fluff so please enjoy~! And I hope all of you have a great day~~
