Inuyasha POV

~One long explanation later~

"And that's what happened Shippo." I told him. I did leave out certain parts of the story seeing as I don't wish to traumatize the kid more than he already is. Shippo nods his head then looked up at me. "I understand and if that's what you want to do I'll follow you. You're my Dad now so where you go I go. And I'm glad Kouga helped you, maybe he has a soft spot for you. I mean he didn't have to do that the other Beta's could have kept you company or given you an herbal drink to help calm your soul. Instead he comforted you and made sure you felt safe after promising to protect you. What if Kouga feels the same way deep down and he doesn't know how to express it to you?" Said Shippo. I stopped and thought about it to. Shippo had a point in his statement. Kouga didn't have to do what he did, but he did. Normally Kouga would flaunt at a chance to be little me or leave me to suffer on certain things, but why didn't he this time. I know we have gotten close since we beat Naraku, and Kagome not really coming back to see us much.

I look at Shippo and smile a small smile. "I want to believe that Shippo so much, but I never saw him show any interest in me besides picking a fight with me for Kagome." I said softly. "He could have used it as a means to talk to you or get close to you physically. I mean he is a Wolf demon and they are known to show off their strength and kindness to a possible mate. He may have tried to show it off to Kagome, but the same could be said to you. And his kindness is being shown now and how he stopped killing humans. He didn't want to kill the humans since you both care for them, and he even started trades with them which he didn't have to do." Again I was lost for words since when did Shippo become so wise.

"All right Shippo where did you learn all about this?" Shippo stopped and looked at me. "I learned it from the books Kagome let me read, plus what Sango and Kaeda talked about while in front of me. They probably thought I wouldn't understand it or wanted me to know this stuff for the future when I pick a mate of my own." Shippo explained. I will need to talk to those ladies about that another day. I let out a deep sigh. "Okay thank you for telling me that, and now we need to talk about something else." Shippo stays quiet.

"I want to try and win over his pack so I can have a chance to be his mate. Even if he accepts me I need the Elders and his pack to as well. If not they'll try to take away Kouga's right to be Alpha and I don't want that to happen. He loves his pack very much and I don't wish to have him choose between me and his pack." I said softly. "Those are some deep words Inuyasha, and I believe we can help you." Said a voice behind me. I quickly pull Shippo close to me and get into position to attack the people behind me. I do relax after I see it is just Ginta and Hakkaku in the doorway. "What are you two doing listening in on our conversation?" I asked. "Kouga wanted us to come in and check and see if you're ready to eat. He wanted to do it himself, but the Elders refused for him to come get you. Seeing as they are still trying to convince him to stop the deal and marry the girl they have ready for him." Said Hakkaku. Ginta laughed softly as he nodded. 

"And we don't want her as our Alpha female. We've meet her before and she's not his type. She's tamed and mainly is wants everything for herself and no one else can have it until she gets it first. The Elders only want her because her wolf tribe is very strong, and our tribe and theirs have been allies for centuries now. She maybe beautiful, but unless she cares for us we don't want her." Said Ginta. "That doesn't sound like a good Co-Leader to me." I said crossing my arms. Shippo nodded his head in agreement. "That's what we think too. We wouldn't mind if it was you though Inuyasha, we know you'd help Kouga with anything as well as us in the pack. You'd be perfect!" Said Ginta who was smiling like a big idiot. 

"But first we need to make Kouga want me first then we can work on everyone here wanting me to be with him too. Once Kouga starts showing interest in me the pack will notice and that's when they'll start to judge me and see if I'm worthy." I said. Both male Wolf demons agreed with that. "Then good news to you we have a way to get him to show it. We know Kouga's true feelings he's just bad at times with showing them like a certain Hanyo we know." Said Hakkaku. I growled at that comment. "You are so lucky I won't attack you right now. I would rather not hurt you both. So I'll ignore what you said and please tell me what you have planned." I said glaring at them both. 

Ginta smiles big time as he walks over to me and sits beside me. "Easy we're gonna make you look so irresistible that his inner self won't be able to hold back. Kouga is able to control himself around you because he's afraid you'll reject him if he tries anything, but if show him that you want him in small ways he won't be able to resist you." He explained. "Just as Ginta said. We're gonna help you act more wanting for him in subtle ways. Starting first with your cloths. We know you love your kimono very much, but try wearing some of our pelts. It'll also help with pleasing the pact showing off your muscle to show you're strong and willing to help out." Said Hakkaku.

I went quiet for a minute as I thought this over. "Hmm that makes sense and it would help out a lot." I said. "Good. Now get changed as I take Shippo to the Nanny group, and Hakkaku will wait to bring you to Kouga. And while you get changed Hakkaku will inform you of some of Kouga's weak spots and or turn ons." Said Ginta. With that he picked up Shippo and left and left me with Hakkaku. Hakkaku smiled and bowed as he stepped out of the room and looked at the pelts that they left for me. I look down at the pelt and touch it smiling gently. 

"I hope Kouga will like this."
