2 weeks later • DAVID • I stormed through the crowds, shielding my face from the paparazzi's flashes that burned through my eyes. "David, what was the reason you missed last weeks BGT live show?" "Mr Walliams, why have you been un active on all forms of social media?" "David! Over here! Will you be returning tonight's episode of Britains Got Talent?"
I sat down in the small cafe and grabbed the newspaper nearest to me. The waitress greets me and hands me my usual morning cup of coffee. I pick up the printed paper.
Cowell reunites with mother of his child.
I toss it to the side and choose a magazine instead.
The Cowells - Happy families... again!
I mutter in frustration to myself, check the time - 11am, bring the coffee mug up to my lips and pick up the last, paper crinkled copy.
Simon Cowell - "Everything is Perfect."
I slam the mug onto the table, causing the china to smash and allowing the scolding liquid to scorch my hands with burns. I threw a £20 note on the table to cover the cost of the broken mug, and whilst nursing my hand, I stalked right back outside the door again.
My phone bings five hours later. I'm still sat in my untidy house, with not only my hair but also my mind, a mess. The screen read "1 message from Si" I mentally cursed myself for not changing his contact back to his actual name.
From: Si Come to the show tonight or you're fired. Simon
I sighed, checking the time. It was four pm. I'd probably have to start getting ready. Simon would've just woken up.
I knew that, by kissing him, what I'd done was wrong. But one thing would roll through my mind every time I heard his name. That he kissed back.
An hour later, I'd pulled up into the airport and was walking on the marbled floor. I saw Simon stood there, talking to Dec about goodness knows what, when Alesha ran up to me and gave me the biggest hug. She whispered in my ear, "We need to talk." "Can I sit with you on the plane?" I asked hopefully, changing the subject. I already knew Ant was sat with Dec. "Sorry, David, I've already said to Amanda I'll sit with her. You know what she's like with flights." Alesha said, giving me a sympathetic smile. That meant I'd have to sit with Simon. I bit my lip and rolled my suitcase towards the private jet. I vowed to try make him forgive me. I had to, one way or another. I was done sulking - now I needed to make things right. The thing that hurt me most was how he was back with Lauren. When I heard, it felt like someone was suffocating my chest. Like I'd had all the life wiped out of me.
