Louis’ POV.

The second I’d landed, something had smashed into the top of my head, knocking me out.

When I came round, I was cramped, unable to move, and it felt as though there was an engine running nearby. I tried to sit up, but only succeeded in bashing my head against something very hard and quite fuzzy- almost like the kind of material you get in cars.

I realized then, with a sickening jolt as I uncontrollably rolled over, that I was actually in a car. One that was driving very fast for that matter, and one that had a tiny hole in the boot where I was, but one big enough to see out of.

I knew the area.

The car was driving next to a park in London, one that I’d been to a couple of times during my time in X Factor. But it looked older, less new looking than it had when I’d been there. If I had to guess when, I’d say it looked about two or three years older.

The car stopped violently and suddenly, and I saw another car, a black car with tinted windows pulled out, and I could see a shadow through it- a shadow of a woman, looking behind her, and talking to someone in the back.

The car suddenly lurched again, but this time, it lurched backwards, and it was speeding up and up until I realized with another sickening jolt what it was doing-

It was going to ram the car with me in the boot.

I struggled, banging my feet and fists on all the sides I could reach around me, but it was no use. I was going to die.

I shut my eyes, and held my breath, my rolled up jeans letting my bare legs feel the soft material I was lying on- it gave me the shivers slightly, ones that went all the way up my body, and then-

I opened one eye, squinting up into the sunlight, before wrenching the other one open and jumping to my feet.

I was in Lexi’s back yard.

The shivers must have been the time travel, not the fabric I’d been lying on.

Memories of what I’d just witnessed through my tiny peephole were flooding my mind, but I tried to force them out. I had to pretend nothing was wrong until I could get Lexi on my own.

She’s the only one I could talk to.

She’s the only one who would understand.

Lexi’s POV.

My face blanched, as Louis told me what had happened, and I felt dizzy. He didn’t know who had been in the black car- but I sure as hell did.

“Lexi? Lexi babe, it’s ok, I’m safe, it’s ok. We’re both ok.” He soothed, pulling me into a hug. I let a single tear slide down my cheek.

“I know, I know.” I whispered, putting my arms around his neck and hugging him tighter.

He kissed my ear softly, before a small knock came on the bathroom door.

“Louis, I need a wee.” A small voice whined, and Louis pulled back, a chuckle escaping his lips, before he kissed mine, passionately.

We let little Phoebe in, and went to join Harry and the rest, who were harmonizing to get Eddie to drop off.

Louis and I stood, him leaning against the wooden doorframe, me leaning on him. It was a picturesque scene, like one you’d see on a DFS advert, if your family was full of celebrities.

That made me realize something else. It was only a matter of time until the press found us out. And to be quite honest, that was the biggest fear on my mind.

Louis’ POV.

I awoke the next day with my arms Lexi- free, and sat up as quickly as I could without practically knocking myself out. “Lexi?” I half mumbled, my voice not quite ready to wake up yet.

“Shhh.” Harry said, taking me completely by surprise. I turned to face him, and saw he was cradling Eddie in his arms.

“Lexi had to go, the other you- the older you- came back, said he needed to talk to her about something very, very important. But they wouldn’t tell me what.” He huffed, gently rocking little Eddie.

I frowned slightly, moving the duvet away from my legs and rubbing my eyes to free them of sleepy dust. “Ok. Wait, what?”

Harry shrugged, moving over to sit next to me, handing me my tiny boy.

He was doing well, according to the mothers and the midwife. Tiny little thing he was. His eyes, which opened as I held him, to look into my own, were a soft baby blue, the exact same colour as Lexi’s, but his hair was slightly darker than both mine and Lexi’s, making it look almost black.

His tiny fingers found my seemingly fat pinky, and squeezed it ever so gently. I smiled, a tear forming in my eye as he squirmed in my arms, his little mouth moving as though he was trying to lick his lips.

“Hey, he’s pulling his Louis face!” Harry exclaimed, and excited squeak edging his voice. I laughed, and stared in surprise at my best friend. “His Louis face?” I asked, trying to stop laughing as it was making my arms jolt about a little, and I didn’t want to hurt Eddie.

“Yeah, that face looks just like you when you sleep.” He chuckled, gently stroking Eddie’s cheek.

“And- actually I don’t want to know how you know that.” I concluded, shaking my head at Harry’s crazy extended knowledge of my sleeping habits.

Just then, Lexi came through the door, and she immediately smiled brightly at seeing me.

“Morning. Thanks Harry,” She said, as Harry got up to leave.

“No problimo.” He flashed his dimpled grin at her, before leaving and shutting the door behind him.

Lexi sat down next to me, taking Edward carefully from my arms.

“Where are the boys?” I asked.

“Oh, mum insisted on cooking them pancakes.” She laughed.

Lexi looked down at our baby, cradling him closer as he slowly seemed to fall back asleep.

“We’ll be ok, wont we, Lou?” She asked, looking up at me.

I smiled and kissed her soft lips.

“I know we will be.”
