(Two years later)

Lexi’s POV.

I was gently pushing little Eddie on the swing set when I first noticed something was entirely not right.

Perrie, who was pushing her niece on the swing next to me, noticed I’d frozen and put her hand on my arm. “Lexi? Lexi what’s wrong?” She asked, concerned. I shook myself, trying to get rid of the feeling that someone was watching me. Snap out of it. It can’t be who you think it is Lexi, so it isn’t.

“Oh, nothing, sorry, I just thought someone was watching me then.” I muttered, stopping the swing as Eddie started to sniffle and wail. I picked him up carefully and cuddle him close. “Who’s a sad baby?” I cooed, bopping his nose gently with the tip of my finger. I heard my name being called, and turned to see a grinning Zayn and Harry. I waved. “Hey boys!”

Zayn came over to Perrie and greeted her lovingly, before bending down to say hello to little Clarice. I handed Eddie (whose real name is Edward, by the way) to Harry and immediately the little boy cracked a smile.

“Where’s Louis?” I asked, the hairs on the back of my neck pricking up when I once again felt eyes on me. “Oh, he had to take Niall home- poor guy, crashed out halfway through rehearsal.” Harry said, tickling little Eddie. I frowned unhappily. “Poor Niall, I’ll bet you anything it’s that so called girlfriend of his picking fights again.” I said, and the others hummed and nodded in agreement.

I shivered slightly as the wind blew my way, wrapping my coat tighter around my body, and grabbed the pushchair I’d been using for Eddie. “Come on, it’s getting a little chilly now. How about we all head off for tea at our place?” I offered, keen to get out of the feeling that someone was watching.

“Great! I’ll text Louis to meet us there then. And invite Liam.” Zayn said, pulling out his phone and texting as Perrie picked up Clarice and followed Harry and I to the car.

“Oh no, there’s not enough room in my car.” I said, realizing that I’d brought the small car. “That’s ok, I have my car, which can fit Perrie and Clarice. Why don’t you take Harry?” Zayn offered, sliding his phone into the pocket of his jeans.

I nodded. “If Harry’s ok with taking the backseat. I installed Eddie’s car seat in the front, to keep an eye on him yesterday when he had a slight fever.” I explained, and Harry shrugged, looking delighted to be sharing a car with his “son”. He claimed ownership over Eddie, being not only his god father but legal guardian if anything happened to Louis and I.

Which reminded me. I had managed to live out nearly 3 years without dying, or causing any major injury to myself.

Maybe that feeling in the pit of my stomach, and the shivers I was getting, was trying to tell me something about that.

But I pushed the thought to the back of my head. Right now, I focused on driving safely, as Eddie in the front was a little dangerous.

“All buckled?” I asked, turning to face Harry as he got in the back seat after strapping Edward in. “Eye eye!” He said, saluting me and making Eddie giggle furiously in his seat. I started the ignition, and carefully pulled out of the park.

“Hey!” Harry exclaimed, making me jump slightly in my seat. “Can we get pizza and chips?” He asked, exaggerating the food words and making Eddie giggle happily in his seat. I laughed, and as we came to the T-junction, turned to him.

“Maybe, Hazz.” I teased, using the nickname we hadn’t used for the last year or so, since Eddie was able to say Harry’s proper name once his teeth came through.
