(One Year later)

Lexi’s POV.

“Good morning baby boy!” I whispered, as Eddie’s little round face peered out at me from between the bars of his crib.

He was such a fast learner, already he could walk very steadily, and he was grasping the concept of talking like a genius. He’d not yet formed any proper words, but certain sounds now meant certain things.

He was looking more and more like Louis every day, despite what Louis and the boys said about him looking like me. I think they just focused on his eyes- they were exactly like mine.

He smiled a toothy adorable grin, and reached his arms out as if to say “Get me out of this cage!”

I hauled him out, as Louis groaned and rolled over.

I laughed softly, balancing Eddie on my hip as I used my spare hand to grab a nappy. “Good morning to you too, Lou.”

He blearily opened one eye, and cracked a sleepy smile. He mumbled something, which sounded like morning, before his eye gave up on him and dropped shut.

“Come on, you’ve got to be at the studio in an hour. And,” I added, throwing the nappy at him, “It’s your turn.”

I put Eddie down on the bed, half on top of him, and left the room to use the bathroom. I knew Eddie was safe- Louis would never let him fall, he’d rather die than let him get hurt.

We’d both moved in together, in a lovely flat in central London, and although it was pricey, we both could cope- I had a wonderful job at the local gym, working part time in the café and the crèche when I wasn’t taking aerobics in the gym.

Plus, it really helped that Louis was now a member of the massive boy band One Direction, because it meant that we could afford a few luxuries to share- such as our flat.

We’d moved in about three months ago- around the same time the world found out about Louis’ ‘Girl and Son’, as I believe the headlines said. But instead of the hate we’d both expected, we were overwhelmed with baby toys and gifts and such lovely letters saying how much the fans ‘ship’ us. Of course, I got lots of hate, but that I could handle. To my mind, the lovely letter and gifts were enough to hide the hate mail.

Louis had disappeared sometimes, not for long though, and they were quite spaced out. I didn’t worry though- I knew where he was going.

The boys had so far released three singles, and were putting the finishing touches to an extra song on their album- a song called “I Want”. It’s my favourite song of theirs, after, of course, “Another World”.

As I finished brushing my teeth in the bathroom, I heard Eddie give an excited squeal, and the front door shut loudly.

“Eddie McFreddie!”

I nearly spat out my toothpaste laughing at the absurd nickname.

“What the heck Harry?” I gasped out between laughs, as I opened the bathroom door to greet him.

He shrugged, a mischievous glint in his eye. “Hey, what can I say, oooo that rhymed.” He stopped in his tracks, a distant look  coming to his face. Eddie giggled, and poked Harry’s dimples.

“Hazzy!” He gurgled.

I froze.

Harry froze.

Louis came out from our shared bedroom, his t-shirt halfway on.

“What did he just say?” He whispered hoarsely.

Eddie blinked round at us all, his toothless grin becoming his face.
