Lexi’s POV.

I sat up with a start when I heard my name being yelled. I got up as quick as I could and raced down the hall to where my mum’s room was. “Mum? Are you alright?” I asked, bursting into the room. Mum turned around from the long mirror that stood in the corner of the room and nodded. “I just needed your help with this.” She said, indicating the pile of washing that was sat on her bed.

That was when I noticed Louis wasn’t there.

“Of course I’ll help. Where’s Louis?” I added, as I picked up a shirt and started to fold it. “Oh, he went home. His little sisters, the twins I think, needed a babysitter while Jo took the other two to the dentist. He’s bringing them back here to keep an eye on them. He should be back soon.” She said, caressing her bump with one hand and lowering herself onto the bed with the other.

It didn’t take me very long to fold the clothes and put them into easy piles, and I let my mum put them away. As I made my way back to my bedroom, I heard the doorbell chime, and hurried downstairs, completely forgetting I was in my pajamas (which consists of a t shirt and short shorts- and I really mean short shorts).

I opened the door to be greeted by Phoebe and Daisy, both bounding up to me and giving me a deathly tight hug. I laughed, and let them go, and they raced into the lounge and pulled out all their colouring things they had brought. I then turned to Louis, who was admiring my body in the minimum amount of clothing I had one. “Mmm.” He said, winking at me as he stepped over the ledge. “I’m beginning to wish I’d stayed this morning.” He whispered in my ear as he pulled me into a hug. I giggled, and hit him playfully on the back.

“Louis? Lexi, was that Louis?” My mum called out from her room in a panicky tone. “Oh, sorry, yes mum, it’s fine.” I called back, feeling a little guilty for not reassuring her it wasn’t dad. She sighed loudly in relief, and slowly started her descent down the stairs. I let Louis go to carefully watch her, and to make sure she didn’t come to any harm.

When I say harm, I mean falling down the stairs.

Louis’ POV.

I couldn’t help myself as I looked Lexi over. She looked unbelievably fit, even in her pajamas. Don’t judge me, I’m only human.

I stood back as I watched her help her mum down the last few stairs. “Morning again, Mrs. Freed.” I greeted politely, waving slightly and following them as they made their way through the lounge. I grinned at my youngest sisters, who were intensely colouring in a picture of the Thimbles. “Louis, I’ve told you, please call me Hannah. Mrs. Freed makes me sound like a school teacher.” Lexi’s mum said, sitting herself down on a kitchen chair.

“Alright.” I mused, half shutting the kitchen-living room door behind me. “Well, Hannah, and Lexi, how’s about I cook us up a small pile of pancakes?” I suggested, pulling a pan from the drying rack and setting it down on the cooker. “Oh, that would be immense.” Hannah said. “Lexi, show him where all the- you know, stuff is, will you?” She directed the last bit to Lexi, who nodded and squeezed her hand gently before turning to a cupboard and pulling out ingredients.

“Thanks.” I said quietly, as she broke the eggs into a bowl for me. She chanced a glance, and broke out in a smile. “Thank you.” She whispered sincerely, pecking me on the cheek. I chuckled, and helped her finish the batter. Before long, we had a slightly larger pile of pancakes than I’d intended for, but it made the twins happy that they could get a little more breakfast. Hannah looked so happy, so did Lexi, heck we all were.

If only it had lasted….

(Other) Louis’ POV.

Still no sign of Zayn and Liam, and now our fans have found out they’re missing. That blew twitter up.

It’s all over the news, and Harry, Niall and I are all stuck inside this hotel in Central London, security doubled to maximum strength. The two other boys aren’t doing fantastically- Harry has let his quiffed up hair fall back to the way it used to be, and Niall has just stopped eating. He only eats a bag of crisps a day, which for him is a scary change.

I’m not content with this either. It just doesn’t sit well for me- things should have gone back to normal. I have no idea why they haven’t, but I’m losing sleep, weight, and I’ll be honest, hair because of it. It’s not fun at all.

And I’m honestly scared that I’ve lost my time travel. Which means I can only hope things are going the way they should be.
