Lexi's POV.
"Excuse me? Can you please show me where I need to go?"
I sighed, more than a little irritated at what I thought was yet another new year 7 asking me for directions. I slammed my fist on the wall and turned: and came face-to-face with-
"Louis? Louis the Tommo Tomlinson?"
His eyes wandered my face, and I felt a ripple of dislike shudder through me. "Lexi? Lexi Set Me Free?"
I frowned, and shrugged my bag further onto my left shoulder, where it was slipping. "It's Lexi Freed." I muttered, my fists curling into balls. Louis glanced down, and backed up, putting his hands above his head in surrender.
"Ok, calm down, I know you're not exactly pleased to see me." He said, his words speeding up as I shifted my feet. "But trust me," He said, leaning forward so the others in the hall wouldn't hear. "The feeling's mutual."
I curled my lip up in a snarl, and shoved him away. The lockers behind him clashed with the impact, and he stumbled to maintain his balance. I was absolutely fuming. This boy, this, this, thing... WHY was he back in my life? I hated him. I absolutely hated him.
"Listen, Toms Boy." I said, grabbing his collar and shoving him against the wall. By now, everyone in that corridor were standing against the other wall, with their phones out, watching to see what was going to happen. The people love a good fight. Sadly, today I couldn't risk it.
"At Hayfield, you may have had everything worked out your way." I growled, tightening my grip as he tried to free himself. "But here at Halls Cross, I run the show. Don't. Even. Try."
With that warning, I let him go, and turned on my heel, stalking off. As I reached the door, I saw in the reflection in the window, Louis readjusting his uniform and picking up his bag and piece of paper, that I assumed had his schedule on it, before his reflected eye caught mine, and he mouthed to me; "Set me free." His lip curled into a grin, and I swear my head nearly exploded.
I growled in the back of my throat, before storming through the doors to the unusually bright sun of early September, and making my way to my car. First day back for college? Screw this.
Louis' POV.
Wow. Lexi Freed moved to Hall Cross? That... backfires on me.
The whole point of me moving to Hall Cross, from Hayfield, was so I would get my work done this year, so I didn't have to repeat another year. I mean, they were all 16 going on 17, I was 17, turning 18.... In December, actually. And this year, my party was going to be big. HUGE big. GIGANTOR big- wait now I'm quoting Monsters vs Aliens.
Ah well, I thought, as Lexi stormed out the front doors, hopefully there'll be some people willing to be my friend here. I turned back to face the direction I needed to go, only to be faced with almost the entire school, obviously watching the warning fight Lexi gave me. I mock bowed, gaining a few laughs from some guys dotted around the fountain, and headed back to the front desk. If Lexi couldn't direct me, as I asked in the first place, maybe that lovely old lady, Janice, could.
