I opened the door but only a crack not wanting him to see me, making sure that I stood behind the door, and there was only enough room for his arm and my clothes.

"Is this really necessary? My eyes are closed, and as much as I want nothing more than to peek..... You would rip my head off. No offense, but I don't want to risk losing a life time with you." Tom mumbles through the door while I get my PJ's on. Admittedly I might be a little ridiculous with how far I'm trying to keep him away. It also hits me then that because we didn't go through with anything today we would both be in pain again tonight, unless we talked? I wished it was that simple, I also wish someone had explained to me how the Hell this mating process was supposed to work. I wanted to know what I was going to have to fight off besides these emotions, and thoughts about him and for him. I sighed again and opened the door. He followed me as I made my way downstairs it was 11p a little late to be making a full on dinner. So I grabbed a can of Tuna from the cabinet and was surprised to find bread and mayo on the center island waiting for me.

"It didn't earn you brownie points," everyone who was in the living room came filing through into the kitchen and sat at the bar stools. "Has anyone spoken with the rogue today?" I ask looking up through my lashes to Kathy as I made the Tuna. The only one that I was really worried about him making contact with.

"I didn't and neither did William." Kathy snaps then looks at a woman who I thought came with Tom when they hit the border. "She did. She also fed that animal." Kathy states outraged, in honesty though I had been planning on the guard spending the majority of the day with the rogue. I laugh just a little the guard looks at me with nothing but venom as she's about to blow up in my face. There was a slight hesitation in her eyes. I looked back at Tom and saw that he was staring her down. Putting two and two together was not hard. They were having a mind conversation. I growled as my wolf absolutely hated the thought of him speaking with another woman out of earshot.

"I'm sorry, if what I did was out of line. I will not do it again, please accept my most sincere apologies." She said each word slowly making sure that each one was heard and taken into consideration. "MyAlphamademesaythattheapologyisinsincere." The she-wolf spits out almost faster than I can keep up or hear. I chuckle as I see her run off into the basement, Tom shakes his head in disappointment.

Everyone but Tom, realizing that I wasn't going to take part in a conversation began talking amongst themselves. Tom on the other hand remained silent. When I was finished eating my Tuna I put everything away, making sure to clean my plate so I wouldn't have to do it in the morning.

I went upstairs and everyone who still remained in the kitchen followed me. When we reached that first door, Tom's room, he began walking to it. I put my hand on his forearm trying to prevent him from going into the room. The action did just that, since he stopped in his tracks. His guard growled at the contact I had made with his Alpha. I immediately removed my hand from his forearm. Each part of me missing the touch that I had with him, the connection, the tingle.

"Stay with me," I blurt out, not thinking about the repercussions of the action. Just knowing that I didn't want to experience the pain that I would have to go through again tonight. Knowing that if Kathy's words were true then he would comfort me before thinking of himself. Tonight I wanted to be the one to comfort him. I wanted to show and prove to him that I wasn't weak. The guard growled again before speaking.

"No, he will not stay with you. You made it perfectly clear when he first met you that no matter what he does, says, or acts you will not become his mate. You will kill him in his sleep." The guard snarled each word in such a menacing voice that I honestly believed he was going to kill me if I pushed the subject. So I left it alone I began walking towards my room, cringing at the thought of a pain that could be so intense it caused me to pass out.

"Are you going to kill me? Is this another one of your small tests? Are these three days a joke? Am I actually being given a shot at winning your heart?" Tom asks in what sounded to me as a desperate tone. I took a good look at him, realizing he looked like Hell. Maybe I was the one who had done this to him, but it's only been 24 hrs. I shook my head knowing all too well that I probably looked the same, maybe not on the outside since I made it a habit to look pristine, but on the inside.

"I guess you'll never know, unless of course you care to join me." I say throwing down a challenge his wolf wouldn't be able to refuse, knowing all too well that if he made the same statement to me I would join him. Just so that I could get answers.

I got into the King sized bed with my dark blue sheets, and black comforter. My room designed by someone else for someone else, not wanting any part of my house, or of me for anyone to be able to decipher my mood or what I thought. I felt the bed sink as he slipped in on the opposite side, it was as if his eyes were piercing holes in my back.
