I soared high above everyone else, until I sat on a perch, a place that allowed me access to see everyone I had ever cared about in my life. If this was heaven I could live with this. I could live with the punishment of knowing that I could only watch and never interfere. At least for now.
"You know most people would beg me to go back down there right now. Yet, you already know the purpose in which you have been brought here." A man's voice says as I watch tears stream down my beloved mate's face. "Will you not beg for your life?" I shake my head giving the man a silent no. There was no way for me to live on not even as a little person. There was a chuckle behind me so I snapped my head back and the man held a grin.
"Why are you chuckling?" I snap.
"As the almighty and powerful, of course I left something of your love down there. Even if you don't see it." Then I remembered how dark the caves were "Yes, the child is hidden there in fact" just as the man paused there was an outcry. Tom went and answered it as if it was some primal call. There was a note that had unrecognizable handwriting on it
To whom it may concern, The child belongs to King Alpha Thomas Harolds and his mate. Please return the child.
It was a beautiful daughter. Tears streamed down my own face.
"You were not an awful human being you merely made mistakes as we all do. You may sit here until your mate reaches his happiness once again, or you feel that you have your closure. However, you and I know that you are dead so you may and can not leave this plain even if you tried." They were simple words that should have broken my heart yet I was too focused on the tentativeness Tom was showing the child.
