It has been a few days since Howl has saved me from that man. I've started to wonder how he is and where he is. I haven't seen him for a few weeks now, I'm actually starting to worry. This is unusual for me, because I never worry about any of the customers I get. For the past week, I've visited my brother and Marcus, who seem to be getting along fine, except my mother and father don't approve of their lifestyle. Unfortunately I was there when one of their outbursts were erupting. I was visiting my mother and father when Jeff told the news about him being married to his best friend.

"Why in the hell would you do such a thing, Jeff?!" my father yelled.

"I was attracted to men ever since you put me in that private school, with all boys!"

"So you're attracted to men instead of women?" my mother asked.

"Yes."

"But why? Why didn't you tell us this before?!" my father yelled once more.

"Because if I told you this, you would be exactly like this!"

"We would be a little bit more understanding before you got married! Now your married to this man!" mother exclaimed.

"Marcus is one of my best friends."

"If you're so happy with him, then I see no reason as to why you're still living here!" father roared.

"Then I'll just leave."

That day was scary itself. Marcus was sitting outside, listening to the loud and scared screams of my mother and father. Kicking Jeff out of the house, both men stay in my apartment. It holds two people, having two bedrooms. They have their occasional, stuff at night, but that's when I'm downstairs in the bookstore. I've been getting complaints that they're too loud and other things, but I don't seem to mind with the groans and moaning from both of them. Anyway, I've been on the lookout for Howl, almost being June 25. When the 20th strolled around, Howl walked into the store. He had a bright smile on his face as soon as he met me at the counter.

"Good morning, Howl."

"Good morning, Y/N."

"How did these work out?"

"Splendid. Markl got a date and it's a nice young lady."

"That's good."

"A beautiful young lady, like yourself."

I blushed a little bit, then I turned to look up at him.

"I'm not that pretty. There are more attractive looking girls out there than in here."

"Y/N, don't say such things. Men may not have the guts to tell you you are."

"And what I suppose you do?!" I yelled.

Howl was taken back by this unusual behavior. I may be a shy young lass, but I can have the voice of a commanding general.

"I have the guts to tell anyone anything."

"Then what do you see ine me?!" tears slipped from my eyes.

"I see a beautiful, young woman who hasn't found the right man to tell her. A young bookworm that loves what she's doing. Her heart is caring for others, as well as accepting people for who they are, like your brother."

"How do you know about my brother?"

"I've seen him and Marcus kiss each other sometimes at the fish market. Especially when Marcus is getting lunch for Jeff."

"They tend to do more things than that."

"I won't get into the such things," Howl said.

"But, why do you have to choose me?"
