Abbey’s P.O.V

“Thanks for picking me up on such short notice,” I said

“That’s okay sis, I’m always free for you,” my brother replied, I smiled as we continued to head out to Ariella’s with two suitcases and my normal bag. It was a 20 minute drive, and we were 5 minutes away. Those minutes quickly passed and we had arrived.

Abbey: *slut, I’m here*

Ariella: *coming to the front door now*

I looked at the door as it opened and my brother helped me carry my bags inside of the house. I thanked him and gave him a hug, a small kiss on the cheek and I walked him to his car. I then walked back into Ariella’s house and thanked her parents for letting me stay. I went to Ariella’s room

“Have you had dinner?”

“No I haven’t actually,”

“Oh, we just ate sorry, I can get you something if you want?”

“No, I’m good, I’m not hungry anyways”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah!”

She gave me a weak smile before we sat on her bed and instantly took over the internet; she was on Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and of course YouTube. I was looking up accommodation for the few days we would be going without a house, looking up a taxi to take us from the airport to the hotel, and sorting out a housing agent to help us look for good houses in our budget.

“I’m going to get some sleep,” I said

“I’m so sorry; I didn’t set up a bed or anything… I got so distracted!” she said motioning to her laptop

“Don’t worry; I’m fine to rough it for a night or two,”

I stole a couple of blankets and a pillow and set myself up on the floor. I ran to the bathroom, changed and cleaned my face; followed by returning to the bedroom, sitting on my blankets and laying down. I put my headphones in.

“Night Ariella, don’t have too much of a late night”

“Night,” she said through a little giggle.

~next day

I woke up at 10.34am to Ariella shaking my shoulder.

“What’s up?” I said

“Do you want breakfast?”

“No, I don’t eat breakfast,”

“Fine, do you want to verse me at FIFA?”

“Only if I get to kick your ass,”

“You would never be able to do that!”

“I know that; let me have my moment,”

We went out to the lounge and connected the XBOX360 to the T.V and starting playing. Obviously she thrashed me, but that was going to happen anyways, I’m shit at FIFA.

The few days I stayed at Ariella’s house were frankly quite short and quiet, but I helped her pack and we made those last minute plans for when we got to Sydney.

It was officially time to leave for the airport. Ariella’s step-dad drove us to the airport and said goodbye as soon as we were going through customs. We put our bags in, went through the metal detectors, put our phones on airplane mode and got a coffee, well; actually we went to a café to get a hot chocolate.

Before we knew it, we were boarding a plane to Sydney. We sat down in our seats, turned down the catering cart and put in our headphones, ignoring the living world.
