Chapter five;

Abbey’s P.O.V

It wasn’t long before we ended up back at the hotel and we were playing FIFA, and as negotiated earlier, I got to win one game, but I lost the other ones. We played for whatever the remainder of the day was, and headed off to bed at about 9pm.

~the next morning

Ariella actually woke up before me; she woke me up because we had to get ready to go searching for a house. It was 11.30am and we started rushing to get ready.

At 12pm we were ready and we ran over to the elevator to go downstairs to meet the lady that would help us look for a house.

“Hi, you must be Laura,” I said as we approached a woman waiting in the lobby

“Yes, I am and you must be Abbey?”

“Yeah, and this is Ariella,”

“Nice to meet you girls, should we get going?”

“Yes please,”

We followed Laura out to her car. Ariella and I sat in the back seat and Laura started driving to the first pre-furnished house location.

We looked around the two bedroom house and thought it was too small. The lounge was tiny and the furniture didn’t compliment the other furniture.

“So that’s all the information on this house, what do you think?” Laura said

“I actually don’t like it,” Ariella said

“I second that,” I added

We went back to Laura’s car and headed to the next pre-furnished house.

Before we walked in I already didn’t like it. The street was too busy, it had so much backyard space and it just looked small. The inside was better than the outside, but I still didn’t like it, and I could tell that Ariella didn’t either.  After we declined this house, we started heading to another one.

“Third times a charm,” I said to Ariella as we pulled into the driveway

We went into the house to look around. The kitchen was a perfect size, the lounge had two three seat couches, there was one bathroom, and one bedroom which had a screen divider, so the room split into two bedrooms. This house was basically perfect for Ariella and I.

“How much is this one?” I asked Laura

“It’s a little out of budget,”

I negotiated as much as I could and it really wasn’t that much out of our budget.

“Ariella, I really like this house,”

“Same, like it’s perfect for us,”

“Uhm, it’s a little bit out of our budget,”

“Oh,”

“Yeah but I put my entire do not touch money in my normal account so I can make up for that,”

“You don’t have to,”

“I will,” I said

“Should we sign the papers? Should we get the house?” I continued

“Let’s do it,” Ariella said with a smile

We went outside to Laura and told her we wanted to buy the house. She was ecstatic. She got out of the car to lock up the house and then we headed down to her office.

She gave us the papers to sign and she went over every single syllable of every single word in every single sentence. Eventually we signed the forms, and payed for the house.

“When can we get the keys?”

“I can give those to you right now if you like,”

“Yes please that would be amazing,”

She handed us the keys and was kind enough to take us to the hotel to get our things and then to take us back to the house we just bought to settle in.

“Thank you so much for everything,” Ariella said

“That’s okay!”

She drove off and Ariella and I walked inside.

“I think we should go meet the neighbours,” I said after he put our bags into our rooms.
