"BASTARD!" you heard as you were walking down the plain isle, turning around just to see a young boy with golden-brown eyes screaming at the people who took his bread. You spotted the people and ran up to them. Very Anxious, you thought. The boys who stole from the golden-eyed boy gave you a look, not a very warm one. More of a look that was supposed to tell you, 'What do you want?'
"Excuse me, um.. it isn't very nice to steal from people" you said as they continued to stare at you. "And what does this have to do with you?" they said,
"But..."
"No 'buts' sweetheart. We took it and there's nothing you could do." the comment they made then built up slight anger inside of you, causing you to kick the one holding the bread. Catching it and running back to the boy who was crying by himself. You decided to sit next to him, then giving back his bread. He gave you a slight smile as you gave his bread to him. "W..Whats your name..?". You stared at him then started giggling. "My name is (f/n). What's yours?" "Jean."
Jean. What a pretty name? It's weird how it's pronounced as jan though, but still, cool name!
You thought in your head blushing a bit, you then felt a warm body beside you. Holding you, you turned around just to see Jean hugging you at the same time he was crying. You patted his head and stuck with him for the rest of his child-life. Until this happened.
4 Years Later
You and Jean were now 10 years old, you went from saving him from every problem he had to both of you playing 'pirates' together. "(F/n)! (F/n)! I have a question!" Jean said with a big smile plastered around his face. "What is it, Jean" you say with a slight frown. "If we ever become soldiers, are you going to join the Military Police with me (f/n)! Please do actually!" He says,
Causing your tears to build up in your eyes. Jean twists his head and looks at you directly in the face, he then gives off a worried gasp as he sees a particle of liquid slide down your cheek. "(N/n)! Whats wrong!". More tears stream down your face and he hugs you. "My parents said that we will move to Shiganshina District today because it's hard for us to live here" you said with a lament voice.
"BUT YOU CAN'T LEAVE TROST! IF YOU LEAVE TROST YOU'RE GOING TO LEAVE ME!" Jean said with an extremely bitter voice, "I don't wanna lose you (n/n).." more tears stream down your sorry face as you hug him, the tightest you could, then saying, "I don't wanna lose you either Jean. You're my best friend". Leaning on his shoulder, he then starts to cry unintentionally.
Your (h/c) locks fall down on your face, just to hide your eyes so people won't see your emotions. The boy next to you then runs back to his house, which is right in back of you two. You see him take out a book named, 'Memory Scraps'. He gives it to you then says "This is a book I made, I drew a bunch of pictures from the day we first met, too now." A smile forms around your face, patting his head and saying "I have to go now, but I promise you Jean. I will try my best to see you again."
He blushes then hugs you once more, you softly pull away and run, run so you don't suddenly turn back and grief more. Tears flow down your cheeks as if your eyes were flooding with water all of a sudden. You turn around for a second just to see Jean's mom comforting him. You look down at the book Jean gave you, gripping it tightly, then storing it under your shirt.
"I'm home mom"
You say with a dull voice, trying to hold in your anger and sobs.
Anger and sobs, what a good way to describe my emotions right now.
Your mom gives you a fake smile then hugs you, you look around just to see everything packed in boxes, then looking outside to see a carriage with most of your stuff in it. Your dad was the one who actually decided to move to the Shiganshina District. It was a shame though, your dad usually abused your mom. He also yelled at you for everything you did wrong at times. Though he was a lazy drunk, and he was in the Military Police sadly.
But still, you knew that he did was useless. He didn't even treat people with respect, in fact, he didn't even help us while moving. All he really does is sit down and read. How useless, how did my beautiful, hard-working mother, end up with a lazy drunk that doesn't do anything but eat, sleep, and read. How pathetic. He couldn't even help on simple things.
At times you just felt like beating him up until he said sorry for all the poverty he caused in our family, ugh. Disgusting. You started to help your mom bring all the boxes on the carriage, unlike your dad. When you were all done, you decided to walk off to Jean to say your final goodbye. "Where are you going (l/n)?" your mom said a little worried. You smiled at her said,
"Don't worry mom! Im not running away, im just gonna see Jean one more time. Bye!"
Your dad hated when you hung out with Jean, only because he was a boy. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't hang out with boys. You thought, but you couldn't deny it. He just didn't want you to be in a relationship so quickly. You quickly ran to Jean's house and knocked on his door, his mom opened it and said, "Hello (y/n). Jean is sleeping to burn off the stress, i'm sorry if you're trying to see him again. But I promise you, he will always remember you. Have a good time at Shiganshina District, right now i'm cooking an omelet for Jean-Boy."
You turned completely pale and you walked away slowly, as you got to the carriage, you saw your mom relieved om the fact that you didn't run away. You all went in the back of the carriage. You thought this was a bad idea because you had to get out of the walls first, but your dad rode the horses because he was apart of the Military Force, he wore his uniform and 3DMG.
This is going to be a tough ride.
You thought.
