Chapter 33 || Cooking

"I don't wanna get you into anymore trouble. I am a titan and I can regenerate easily so I if I get hurt it doesn't matter, but you aren't a titan. I want you to live a life that's not threatening. Yes, I already know your life is threatening already, but I don't wanna worsen it. If I ever get a boyfriend or a girlfriend I would most likely want them to be a titan, I'm sorry Jean."

"I grab her cheeks and close my eyes, regretting this. I suddenly close the gap that was separating us both.. I can feel her mouth slowly opening in surprise"

"... Ymir I-" You get blocked off by Mikasa who elbows her in the chin, causing her to fall off of you. She snaps up and looks at Mikasa, "What the hell?" Mikasa narrows her eyes at Ymir, "I hate Jean, thats for sure, but I'd prefer (f/n) to be with him. Way more than I'd want her to be with you." She slowly nods as you run outside, looking for Jean, then spotting him sitting down on a plot of grass, playing with a flower.

"Jean. I am sorry." He snaps his head to the side to see you, teary eyed, clenching your fists. "Look at you.. I adored you Jean. I sometimes think about what you found so special about me." He ignores you and looks back at the sun. Laying on his back and looking into the clouds, stressed. "You could've told me before if you really wanted me to break up with you, I can already tell that you wanted Ymir more than me."

"Thats not t-" He blocked you off with his words, "I want you to be happy, (f/n). If you aren't happy with me, go with Ymir. We are.. still best friends.. right?" Your eyes widen as he smiles at you with teary eyes, you smile back, unsure about everything that was happening at the moment. You obviously loved Ymir, but your feelings were stronger for Jean. He stood up and grabbed your hand, "Lets go."

You nod as you both walk back, Levi narrows his eyes at you both as Zak sits there nervously.

Since all of that crap was over, you all finally had a meeting. Levi sipped on his tea as you all awkwardly watched. "Since half of my squad died, I'm allowing Sasha, Connie, and Armin to my squad." Everyone nods as Levi sighs. "Go clean now."

Everyone stands up and walks to the kitchen, as you and Ymir were put on kitchen duty with Ymir. You both were making bread and soup, you heated the soup while Ymir patted the dough. She blushed nervously as she grabbed you by your waist and shook off her nervousness at the same time, "So.. uhm.. (f/n).. since we are dating now.. whens our first date?"

Jean watching from a distance as you shrug. "I've never really had one with Jean.. but I guess we can schedule it once we have time." She smirks and kisses your forehead, as you kiss her cheek, then continuing to make the soup. You grabbed some mushrooms and sliced them, then accidentally cutting your finger. "Shit.." You mumble as Ymir notices.

"Be more careful." You snap your head to the side and nod, grabbing a cloth and covering the cut as the bleeding goes away. You sigh and continue cutting the mushrooms, then putting them into the soup.

Then, you accidentally drop the pot. Causing the soup to spill all over the floor, "GOT DAMNNIT!" You scream as Mikasa quickly runs in, in battle stance. "Whats wrong?!?" She finally notices what happened, "Oh. I'll clean it."

Armin tip toes and reaches for a book that he seems interested in. Jean walks by and smirks, "Haha.. too short to reach?" Armin snaps his head to the side and twitches his eye, "Can you help me?" He nods and grabs the book, then lifting it on top of Armin's head. "Gotta get it yourself." He smacks Jean, causing him to panic, then dropping the book. "Thanks!"

He yells as you rechop the mushrooms and tomatoes, adding in some potatoes for Sasha. You then poured water into a pot, adding some pepper into it afterwards. "Connie! Can you check if ther- never mind you're just gonna take it for yourself. Eren!! Can you check if theres any meat in the cabinets?" You looked over to the side and saw the bread Ymir was making, "Uh.. Ymir.. you didn't add flour.."

Her eyes widen as she bangs her fists on the table and throws whatever she made at Connie. "Hey!! What the hell! You got me all dirty!!" Eren walks over to you and plots meat on the table. "You're welcome by the way." He mentions, then walking away. "(f/n), where did you even learn how to cook so well?!" You shrug, "My step-mom taught me." She nods as you chop the meat, then heating it on the side.

"Oi!! Make some tea too!" Levi yells as you nod, "I'll make it! I just need (f/n) to teach me how to!" Jean yells. "Jean, go outside and get some tea leafs!" He nods and runs outside, as you finally throw the meat into the soup, then mixing everything. You dipped your spoon into the pot, then putting it to your mouth and tasting it. "Ymir! Can you taste the soup to see if it tastes alright? I'm unsure about it." She nods as you put the spoon in our mouth. "What the hell?!? This is amazing!!"

You smile. "My step-mom taught me this recipe." Jean came in with a lot of tea leafs, "Jean, put 2 table spoons of leafs into a cup and add water, then boil it for about 190-212 degrees Fahrenheit." he nods and does exactly what you say. "Steep it for like 3-5 minutes after, then pour it into a cup, use a strainer by the way! Add honey in a separate cup too, Levi doesn't like his tea sweetened."

He nods once more, while Ymir rips the bread apart in rage. "Ymir stop!! I'll make the bread instead, wait." She shakes her head, "No, I am going to do this."

After 10 minutes, you finally finish making the soup. "Hey Mikasa, I'm too short to reach these cabinets, can you help?" She nods and grabs 9 wooden bowls, then putting them on the table and walking away. "Ymir, almost done?" She nods in excitement, "I DID IT!!!" You look over at Jean, "You done?" He nods and smiles. "Yup." You pour the soup into the bowls while Ymir puts butter on all of the 9, individual pieces of bread. Connie sets up the table as Sasha quickly takes a seat.

"I heard (f/n)'s really good at cooking so I'm excited!" You set all the bowls down as Jean plots down the tea, Ymir puts the bread next to the soup as everyone sits down. Sasha slowly grabs her spoon and dips it in the soup, then slowly putting it into her mouth. She suddenly gets a blast of flavor and the perfect amount of spice, the potatoes were steamed well while the tomatoes were perfect. The beef tasted like nothing she's ever eaten before. She digs her face into the soup, eating all of it at once while you all watch her in disgust. Levi tries the tea and spits it out, coughing right after.

"Why the hell is this sweetened?" Levi mentions as Jean's eyes widen, "I-Uh.. accidentally.. I'll go make a new one." He runs to the kitchen as everyone finishes their food and walks into their rooms, Levi stays. Zak stops for a second, "Aren't you gonna sleep?" He shakes his head. "No, I can't. You go to sleep." She nods and walks into the room, Jean walks in and spots you and Ymir sleeping together.

Pure jealousy was flowing through his veins, Mikasa grips his shoulder. "Ah. You'll get her back.."
