Having a Ball

"You're the heir. You must choose a bride." Kenny snapped at the new seventeen year old Prince. "At the day of your seventeenth birthday, at the ball, you will choose a bride. Understood?"

Levi just nodded, "yes, Sir. May I be excused, now. I have to get ready for the ball coming up tonight."

"Not quite. I will tell you right now, you only have three princess that are acceptable to choose. Princess Petra, Princess Mikasa, and Princess Annie. Now you are excused, get out of my sight." Levi bows and turns on his heel, leaving his uncle's throne room.

Levi despised the decision he had to make, it was absolutely ridiculous. The fact that he was gay made it unbearable, but he still didn't have a choice in the matter. He went directly back to his room, and sat in his desk chair, and thought. He thought about each princess and the pros and cons of marrying them. He didn't like Annie, that was for sure. But Mikasa seemed acceptable, and Petra was alright.

Levi sighed to himself and stood up, stretched, and in his closet, and started to get ready.

"Uh... Prince Eren...?" the brunette responded, looking into Levi's silver eyes, bowing slightly.

"Tch. Are you asking or telling me." Eren's about to respond when Levi cuts him off, "would you care to dance?" Eren froze and stared at him in surprise, unable to respond, "Oi, brat. Are you going to answer me, or gape like a fish?"

Eren mentally shook his head, and nodded, "I-I would like to dance. Very much, so." Since Eren was taller, he held his hand out for Levi to take.

Levi took it with delicacy, and they moved to the dance floor. They put their opposite hands in place, and started to waltz. Eren never took his eyes off the boy that was a year older than him. Not that the seventeen year old minded. He was doing to the same with Eren, loving his Mediterranean sea eyes that shined when the light hit them just right. They were mesmerized by each other.

After the song was over, Levi kept a hold of Eren's hand. "I want to show you something." Eren nodded, and followed Levi, who started heading outside. They went to the garden, and Levi walked to a tiny gap, that no one would have noticed unless they new what they were looking for, in the hedges surrounding it. Levi slipped through, pulling Eren with him.

Eren gasped and looked around at the secret garden in amazement.

"What do you think?" Levi asked, stepping a little closer to Eren.

Eren turned to Levi, and whispered, "I think I'm in love with you."
