Time travel

Eren woke up in his bed, which surprised him. He was sure he fell fast asleep, cuddling his boyfriend. Who just so happened to be Captain Levi, in charge of the special operations squad. Eren sat up, and looked around, noticing he was in his old cell. Which he hadn't visited in months.

Eren walked out of the basement type area, and went to look for Hanji. The mad scientist of the place. She would surely know what was going on. After a while of searching, the titan shifter found her in her lab, looking frantic.

"How did this happen?! And why does no one remember him?!" Hanji sighed in frustration, "I can't ask Moblit for help, he thinks I'm mad for even suggesting. But someone has to! It's impossible that only I could know! All Erwin remembers is handing him off to the Military Police after he refused to join the survey corps!"

Eren decided then was the best time to knock on the wide open door. Causing Hanji to jump a foot in the air, and whip around to face Eren. "Eren! Um, I'm kinda busy... can you come back another time?"

Eren shrugged, "I was just wondering if you knew where Levi was, I can't find him anywhere."

Hanji stared at him for a few seconds, before tackling him in a hug. "I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I KNEW IT!!! Levi IS part of the corps!!! This is great!!!" She pulls away, "wait. No!!! Where is he then, if he's not here now?!"

"Um... Hanji? What's going on? Why wouldn't Levi be in the corps? He's humanities strongest..." Eren said, frowning at the girl in glasses, who was running around again, like a chicken with it's head cut off.

Hanji didn't look at him while she spoke, "I don't know! That's the problem! You and I seem to be the only ones that know who Levi is. Besides Erwin. But all of Erwin's memories of Levi are much different from ours. We remember him being here, in the corps. Being humanities strongest! I remember him being in training and calling me an abnormal and everything! What do you remember?!"

"Everything. Our first kiss, our dates, cuddles, arguments, side by side fighting." Eren said, confused

Hanji nods, "good. That's good. You remember. Okay. I have a job for you! I have something I've been working on. Top secret. You tell anyone, I'll chop up your limbs and throw you off the wall into the mouth of my pet titan. Understand?"

The titan shifter nodded slowly, "yes...?"

She nodded once more, and grabbed Eren's wrist, dragging him to the corner of a room, and started taking concrete blocks out of the floor. Eren watched in confusion, and Hanji pulled up a final block, reveling a stairway that she immediately started going down, having the brunette follow her.

"Hanji...? Where are we going...?"

"Secret lab. Again, keep quiet about this or else" she threatened. Eren merely nodded in response.

After a while, she stopped in the middle of the stairway, and pushed against the wall, causing a small part to move. It somehow opened like a door, and she walked into a well lit room.

Hanji dragged Eren to a large machine, and beamed, "this is my pride and joy. This is the TTM. Also known as the Time Travel Mechanism. (I honestly almost called it the TARDIS.) And this is going to help us find Levi. It's main idea is to take you to a past point in time, and give you the advantage to change that point in time. But, er, I've never actually tested it on living objects... but. I'm 100% sure it's completely safe... I hope. It'll bring you back once you've spend 24 hours in the past time period you visit. Use your time wisely. Now just hop on in!"

Eren starred at the mad woman, not comprehending what was happening. Sure, he wanted to find Levi, but how was he suppose to find him with some time traveling thing?

Hanji sighed, and handed Eren a file, "this is all the info on Levi. The TTM should take you to the Underground. Tell Levi what's going on. He is going to be a lot younger, but he's not that much different personality wise. Be safe. Be sensible. Now go!"

Eren nervously stepped into the mechanism, and stood. Hanji sealed the door, flipped switches, turned dials, and pressed buttons. That was the last thing he remembered before blacking out.

Eren awoke to a dark, dirty place. He sat up, noticing he was lying down on the dirt type floor. Eren looked around the dingy place, his eyes slowly adjusting to his surroundings. The walls were dirt, the houses were either wood or cut into the walls as stone. He now understood why it was called the Underground.

Eren finally stood, almost collapsing again when all his weight was supported. A side effect of the TTM, he supposed.

Once he was fully stable, he walked around, trying to take in his surroundings. This is when he realised that he knew next to nothing about the Underground, and took cover in an alley to read what was in the file Hanji handed him before his departure.

The underground
A place known as the Underground, under the main streets of wall Sina and wall Rose. In barely livable conditions. The population must some how make a living off of the small list of items being produced here. Mainly mining is the priority. Some people choose to ship, some mine. There are many crimes in the Underground. Usually regulated and stopped by the Military Police. The Black market originates in the Underground.

Eren swallowed and moved on to the next page of the file.

Levi Ackerman
A expert thief in the Underground. Immediate thievery group members are Farlan and Isabel. Not much else known about him.

Eren rolled his eyes, this wasn't helpful at all. He knew this already.

The young shifter sighed and put away the file, when he heard a bunch of commotion. Eren turned and raced towards the yelling and crashes. 

He arrived at the small looking market place, and sees three figures moving through the air, using old 3DMG. Eren couldn't make out the faces, but he was extremely familiar with the body shape of the person who seemed like the leader. It was his boyfriend, Levi Ackerman. But this Levi was 17.
