"Freeze and I won't slice your head off your neck." I froze at the cool touch of a sharpened sword against the nape of my neck. I hadn't been expecting to be caught in the hiding spot my dad had placed me in, but the fight had escalated to extremes when my shipmates had fought back. These were pirates that weren't afraid to hold out on their skills. "Drop your weapon. Or people start dying." At that, I look around, I see the opposing crew had all my friends, and Jean, held hostage, swords so closely pressed that lines of blood may appear and I wouldn't be surprised. I knew that these thieves had the ability to kill us, take our ship, valuables, and not blink one eye. So why weren't we dead. "Do I need to repeat myself." The voice said, sounding bored out of their mind.

I spoke honestly, "I don't have any weapons. I don't have permission to carry or use a sword."

"Good brat." The person, a guy, I decided, said smoothly.

I glared out to the water, "What do you want? I guess you know where the treasure would be. Take it and leave."

"Tch. We're not here for your stupid gold. We're here for you." I felt chills run down my spine at that.

"You have to promise that you're not going to hurt anyone if I go with you." I think of my friends first. I could deal with this if they would be okay.

"I swear that your little besties will go unharmed if you come with us quietly." He promised, I nodded slowly, accepting my fate. He pushed me forward with a nudge, and I walked. I walked across the wooden board that connected the two ships. Everyone watched in horror as I was taken away by the strangers.

"WAIT!" I heard my, practically, sister yell, "He's not the Captain, if that's what you think! He's nobody. Don't take him! You won't get any leverage!" I knew she was protective of me, but there was no way to help me out of this. Dad was the Captain, and he didn't even come to help fight. He stayed in his Cabin, after hiding me behind a few packed boxes. Needless to say, the hiding spot didn't work so well.

The person holding me hostage seemed to ignore her, and I stepped aboard my new prison.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been almost a year since I was taken, and I loved every moment of it. Once the ship sailed away from where I grew up, I was sat down at a large table and fed. I was never really able to eat when I was in the old crew, I was always busy 'swabbing the deck' and whatnot. I was treated better here than there. I only was in the lower deck as a prisoner for a week, then some crazy chic, who I now knew as Hanji, offered me a position on their crew, as long as I remained honest and loyal to my new Captain. Who, by the way, was my captor. Captain Levi Ackerman. I accepted and was told to be the Captain's personal assistant.
He trained me to fight with a sword, and I knew how to have a good fist fight to where I was able to beat the entire crew, including my boyfriend, who was the strongest one on the ship. I've been apart of raids, fights, drinking competitions, and romance. We did have a few casualties, the Captain's closest crew members were killed in the middle of a brutal fight that started when we were attacked.
After that, I was upgraded from Captain's assistant to first mate. It was a good life that I lived, I thought about my old friends, but I didn't miss them too much. They didn't ever appreciate me, they didn't try to see my potential. I smiled and lied down on the large bed, waiting for my soul mate to finish work.
I heard the door creak open, and look up to see him walking in the bedroom, "hey Love" I greeted, standing up to meet him halfway across the room. "Long day?"
"Very."
I smile, "I'm just glad your back."
"Tch. Brat. Don't get all squishy on me." Levi rolled his eyes when I just giggled and kissed his cheek. Don't judge me, I'm a hopeless romantic.
"Do you have paperwork tonight?" I asked, taking his hand in mine, pulling him gently towards the bed I was laying on just seconds ago.
"Yes. So don't bug me." Levi deadpanned, walking over the the bed.
"But... you can do the work tomorrow, can't you? I mean, you're the Captain, you shouldn't have specific due dates. Besides, I have better plans tonight, that I think you're going to enjoy." I said slyly, kissing Levi lightly, before pulling back.
Levi's eyes narrowed, "Fine."
He pushed me onto the bed, me grinning in triumph.
What can I say? I'm a hopeless romantic.
