"So Levi, have you and Eren talked about kids yet!?" Hanji popped out of no where, the question causing Levi to choke on his tea slightly.

"Kids? Four eyes, how stupid are you?" He snapped, glaring at her stupid grin

Hanji just laughed at what most people thought was an intimidating person, and sat in a chair across from his desk. "I was just asking, because Eren's been having a blast with the baby that Armin and Erwin adopted. So I was wondering if you knew that Eren's a baby fanatic."

Levi scoffed, "Eren doesn't want kids right now. He's only 16, a titan shifter, and a soldier. There's no way he could get a kid, or know how to raise one." Levi looked back down at his paperwork, frowning slightly.

"I dunno, Levi" Hanji commented after a few seconds, "you've been dating for almost a year, not to mention you're planning to propose soon" Levi scowled at her, but she continued, "Eren wants a family with you. So you have two options."

Levi was subtly listening now.

"You guys can either adopt, or..." she paused, thinking, "get my little titan baby a puppy."

Levi stared at her, an eyebrow raised, "a puppy. Like a disgusting, dirty, troublemaking, young, smelly, furniture ruining animal."

Hanji nodded enthusiastically, "now you're getting it! Eren would LOVE a dog! He seems like a dog person, you know?"

Levi scowled slightly, "what if I'M not a dog person?"

She rolled her eyes, "do you want to make Eren happy?"

Levi blinked, Eren was his everything, and he cared for the younger one, Eren was his, "of course I do."

"Then think about it!" Hanji grinned, and ruffled Levi's hair, causing him to hit away her hand. She merely laughed and skipped out the room, leaving Levi to his thoughts.

Levi dived around a corner, blood seeping out of a bullet wound, cussing because the f****ing military police. He hadn't expected them to shoot at him, the misunderstanding fiasco was behind them. But yet, here he was. Bleeding out, footsteps and shouting coming at any second.

He tried to think of a plan, he had to get back to Eren, but even if he didn't, he wasn't going to go down without a fight. Levi pulled out a dagger from his boot, and put himself in a defensive stance, when he heard rustling further down the alley, behind some trash bags.

The raven froze, and watched with wary eyes at the noise, not daring to draw attention to himself.

A few more seconds of agonizing silence, and a shadow stepped out.

A dog.

Levi would've snorted, if he wasn't in this current situation. It felt so long ago that he considered getting a pet for he and Eren.

The dog itself looked like a pit bull mix, it looked as though it was abused. It had one ear, the other looked torn off. Scars were along is hide and fur. This made Levi feel a pang of sympathy for the creature that looked up at the soldier, tail wagging slightly, looking trusting.

At that moment, Levi forgot about the chase that was pursuing him, and pulled out a small bit of rations from his bag, and held it out the the dog.

It's ears perked up, and approached Levi even more, gently taking the food from him, and later down on the ground, eating as though he didn't have a care in the world.

Levi watched him, and felt a ghost of a smile on his lips, and reached out, petting the dog.

It swallowed, and licked Levi's hand, causing him to cringe. But still he scratched behind the animal's ears.
