Levi! Levi! You wanna go play?! I just got this new video game and it's super fun! Let's go!!!" The baby brunette ran up to the young raven, who was standing on the porch without his mother, but that was usually the case.

Everyday, Levi came at exactly seven o'clock AM without anyone with him. He did have a family, though. His mom was a beautiful woman who one day came as a stranger, and asked if the Jeagers could watch her son. Carla was surprised, but agreed.

Eren was ecstatic about his new friend. Levi was indifferent to the whole process. He simply did as Eren wished, not speaking. Ever. Eren didn't understand why, and Levi's mother never explained why. Of course, they couldn't ask because his mother was never with him.

Every evening, Levi left at exactly nine o'clock PM, past Eren's bedtime. Eren, being so sleepy from a full day of play time, could never stay awake long enough to say goodbye.

Levi nodded slightly, and followed Eren, as expressionless as a five year old could be. Carla was always worried about the small, pale boy who came over everyday, standing on their porch in rain or shine. Always speechless.

Eren laughed and started to button mash, trying to win. Levi, on the other hand, calmly pressed the buttons, not caring about whether he won or lost.

The brunette played all day, dragging Levi around the house, showing him different things and having a blast.

They ate breakfast together, lunch together, and dinner together.

Eren, being a year younger, took a nap while Levi cleaned the kitchen, voluntarily, of course.

This was their daily routine.

Then, one day, Levi didn't show up, and Eren never saw his best friend again.

"Mom!" Eren screamed, trying to reach out for her, but it was too late. He was dragged out of his house by a fireman, surrounded by flames higher than his head. The fireman pushed through the burning building, holding the seven year old close to him.

They couldn't save Carla. She was gone, and Eren had no one. His father had left them a long time ago, not wanting anything to do with his only son, or wife.

Thus, putting Eren in foster care.

It's been nine years since Eren was first placed in foster care. It's been three months since he was put in the best foster home he'd ever been in. The parents were nice, he had friends from school, and his nightmares weren't as prominent, which relieved Eren the most.

The, used to be, young brunette was now sixteen years old. He counted down till the day, in two years, he was legally an adult, and therefore was no longer a foster kid that no one wanted.

At the moment, he was sitting in his room, on his bed. He was reading a book from the Percy Jackson series, the House of Hades. And he was loving Nico Di Angelo, but was upset Nico didn't really have anyone to romantically love, yet.

Anyway, there were actually two beds in his room, though one was recently vacant because his room mate had gotten adopted.

Eren heard a knock on the door and looked up, "come in."

His foster mom, Petra, came in, smiling at him, "Hey Eren, I just had a quick question for you, then I'll be away and put of your hair." Eren nodded, and Petra continued, "I was hoping you'd be okay with a new roommate?"

Eren was surprised, it had only been a few days since Marco got adopted, and Petra and her husband were already taking in another child.

"Okay" he said, nodding, "I don't mind..."
