That's Not My Mate

Chapter Thirty Six

I walk up and I knock on Zach's door. After moment's of waiting a posh elder man opens the door drinking a cup of wine. This must be Zach's dad, they have the same eyes and ears. He's also a wolf.

"Yes? What would you like?" He asks obviously judging me.

I mean yeah I am shirtless and dirty looking so I understand.

"Is Zach here?" I ask crossing my arms over my chest, "I need to speak to him."

"He is here but who are you?" He asks crossing his arms over his chest like he's mocking me.

"I'm Zach's uh... friend Jasper." I say taking a deep breathe.

"I think you should leave. You're pretty shifty, I don't want you speaking to my son." He says as he goes to shut the door.

Before Zach's dad can close the door Zach runs out and basically jumps on me. Zach grabs the side of my head and he begins pecking my lips.

I look back at his dad who's revolted. 

Just to be an asshole I nuzzle my head in his neck, "I missed you Zach."

"I love you Jasper!" He says pulling away from me.

I hear glass shatter from behind me so I turn around quickly and I look at his dad who dropped his wine glass. 

"That's fucking disgusting!" He says angry, "You're cheating on your damn mate with a fucking faggot!"

I bite my tongue hard to keep from attacking his dad. I'm angry enough to murder him.

"Dad. Jasper is my mate." Zach says sighing.

The dad shakes his head, "NO! My son is not gay!"

The neighbors are watching now so it's quite embarrassing.

Zach grabs onto my hand lightly, "Well dad I guess I'm not your son anymore."

I've only been home a short amount of time and I've had a lot of shit happen near me...

Zach turns to me and sighs, "Can we go to your house?"

I nod so he smiles and begins walking, pulling me behind. 

I feel safe around Zach. Like he can protect me from anything. I think I've finally accepted that he's my mate. I think I might love Zach.
