Katniss pov

The rest of the weeks fly by one by one. Peeta made center for football, and its been 3 weeks since the first week of school. Cheer practice is still going well. It's Saturday afternoon and I'm spending it at the beach with Johanna. Peeta and I got in one of our little fights this Friday because I was talking to this one guy a lot. Our fights never last and always pretend they don't happen. It's little things like that to show me he really cares. Peeta and the guys went to a game today and I'm not seeing him tomorrow either.

"Do you think you and Peeta are going to last?" Johanna says out of no where

"Well, I really hope so. I mean I really love him." I say not looking up.

"I mean I'm really happy for you brainless, even if your the one who got Peeta" She says and I can imagine the smile creeping on her face.

"What do you mean 'even if I'm the one who got Peeta' " I say confused.

"Well obviously everyone wants your spot that you have as Peeta's girl. All the girls at our school have been all over Peeta before you guys started dating, but again that doesn't change things as well." She says. I don't respond. I just think about what she's saying. "That doesn't change things as well". Does that mean girls are all over Peeta??

I keep thinking of that question over and over all day. Even the next day! Finally after 2 days and it still being on my mind, I decide to ask him. We haven't seen each other all weekend! Since Friday during our little fight. Its Monday, and I quickly get ready for school. I grab my phone and see no texts from Peeta. I decide to text him first. I go downstairs for a quick breakfast with my mom. Prim decided to sleep over at our neighbors house with her friend Kate. Peeta doesn't even text me back, but while I'm cleaning my dish, I hear the familiar beep of his horn. I grab my bags and head out to see Peeta and Finnick in the front seat.

"Hey why didn't you text me back?" I ask opening his door to step in the back. Him and Finnick are laughing about something.

"Sorry I didn't see it." He says.

"Oh,"  I say. We pick up Annie and I text her about Peeta in class. He is acting really weird and strange. We didn't say like one word at lunch. We haven't kissed once either.

The last bell just rang and I get my gym bag from my locker and walk with Glimmer to the locker rooms. During practice, I can't seem but notice Peeta isn't on the field because I can't find his number. We are almost finished learning all the cheers for our first game next Friday night. Its a home game! We still have a lot of cheers to learn. We have learned over 60 and still have about 30 more. I don't know how we know that many but its possible! Since Peeta isn't at school, I guess Glimmer can take me home.

Later that night I decide to go to call Peeta. He answers like nothings wrong.

"Whats wrong?" I ask.

"Nothing, why?" He says

"You can stop lying to me right now Peeta. I'm tired of fighting with you. Are you going to tell me what the hell is wrong with you?" I ask getting angry and upset.

"Nothing is wrong. I'm just tired baby. I'm fine, and we're fine. Don't be upset." He says.

"Okay, see you tomorrow?" I ask.

"Okay, goodnight babe" He says

"Goodnight, I love you"

"Love you too" he says and hangs up. What the heck!

I let the next few days pass by. Peeta is a little better, and is faking a smile. Something is defiantly wrong. I haven't mentioned to anyone I'm upset, not even Annie or Johanna. Not even Prim. I don't want to tell anyone about how I feel. Usually Peeta and I are perfect, the couple everyone wants to have. But defiantly not lately. Peeta is going to football everyday, and I can tell he is doing his hardest. Everyone is getting ready for the huge game, already this Friday. All the cheerleaders and football players are going to dinner afterwards. Its Thursday night before the game and I'm at Finnicks house with Annie doing homework. Peeta was going to come, but he has a doctors appointment. I'm still hiding the fact about Peeta, and letting it pass by itself.

The next day at school, Peeta is acting somewhat normal, but still a little quiet. Some of our friends have asked if he is 'okay' or 'alright' and he always just shakes it off by saying he is just really tired. After the last bell, Peeta takes me home.

"Want to come in?" I ask looking up at him.

"Sorry sweetie, I have to get ready for the game and be at home. I'll see you there, okay?" He says.

"Uh, okay" I say a little dissapointed.

"Love you" He says giving me a quick kiss. I accept it and head inside. I go to my room and lay down on my bed. I start crying into my pillow. Why is Peeta like this? We used to be perfect! Now look! I can't stand it! I crawl under the blankets and start to drift off while crying.
