Yuri on Ice Mafia AU 2

Chapter 14

Victor

I knock on the door of the gate... I don't really know why I do it. After all I do have the key...I guess I just like to see Yuri's face when he comes to welcome me. He always has a really cute and excited expression on his face.

Nobody answers the door... that's weird... I knock again... and nobody comes... this is really weird. Normally everyone is up by 9 and should be polishing off breakfast... after all, Kasai starts school at 8:20, and everybody tries to wake up to wish her a good day at school (even though it's normally not a good day at school no matter what).

Instead of knocking again, I just rummage through my pockets to find my keys. Of course I can't find them... I probably left them on my bedside table this morning...

I knock one more time, and no one answers... so as a final resort I create a small block of ice, and shove it into the lock where I make the ice turn to liquid and then turn it back into ice so that it takes the form of the key. I then unlock the door and let myself in... its quiet... too quiet. Normally around 9 is when the coffee starts to kick in around here, and people are getting busy going to meetings, running errands, coming on and off shift from the amusement park, literally bouncing off the walls in some case. Normally, there are people bustling around... but it's the complete opposite...it's strangely silent and desolate. I walk to the kitchen... it's empty and cold... it looks like nobody touched it since I came last night and helped Yuri clean the kitchen. And yes, I did clean up quite well...this time. 

I head over to Yuri's room. His bed still isn't made from the last time I visited... normally every morning he makes his bed... but yesterday he didn't make his bed cause he said he was just going to get back into bed anyways as soon as he saw me to the door. So did he even come back to his bed?

Something is definitely off... and I know that it revolves around my Yuri... Speaking of which... where is he?

I head back to the kitchen... seriously where else could he be? As I enter the kitchen, I met a sleepy eyed Phichit.

"Good mournnnnnning." He says with a yawn. "I hope you had a good breakfast."

I nod, "Um ya, it was average... nothing special really."

Phichit turns to the coffee machine, and groans. "Don't tell me it's broken. Man! Really, only Yuri knows how to work this thing. We should really get a new, less complicated, better one."

"Ya I know." I agree, "I didn't know how to use it either but Yuri taught me the basics." I walk towards him, and Phichit gives me room to fiddle with the machine. I press a few buttons in a specific sequence, pull a lever, and finally slam my palm down hard onto the top of the coffee machine. The machine sputters, and then slowly starts to pour coffee into Phichit's cup.

"Thanks," he says covering a yawn.

"No problem."

"Hey when are you going to return Yuri to us? I mean I could really use some delicious breakfast right now. And plus you had him all last night, and for breakfast today. You should already be done with him right? I mean you guys had all night to do what you needed to do, if you know what I mean."

"First off, you're making him sound like an object. Second, what do you mean give him back?" I ask confused.

"He was over at you're place last night with Kasai right?"

"Ummm... what?" I ask very surprised.

"Well didn't they go to your place? I mean they even wrote a note." He hands me a note:

Hey guys, we are going over to Ice to drop something off for Victor. If you need us we'll be at Ice.

"But... they never came." I say crumpling the note in one hand. "And they're not here?"

Phichit nods his head, "If he was here, do you think I'd be here trying to figure out how the damn coffee machine works?" He says taking a sip of his coffee. "Anyways we all normally wake up to the smell of food." He motions around, "and no one is up yet... anyways we also wake up when Kasai comes running down the hall, but she's not here either. So nobody even got up. But at 8:57 my body wakes me up because it craves coffee too much."

"Do you know where they could be?" I ask starting to panic a little bit. I take a deep breath in. Relax. I tell myself. There isn't really any threat that was posed against them... I mean there were threats against Ice, but we always get those. It's nothing special. Those threats were never directed at Yuri or Kasai... Mostly at Me or Yakov, with the occasional one towards Yurio. Yuri and Kasai have probably never got a death threat in their entire life... they're too good to get one... too nice... they wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone purposefully.

 Anyways, wherever they are, they have enough skill to keep themselves alive... and they should have each other. That's enough to get them out of any situation they could possibly be in... right?... yes... I should be confident in the skills of my Yuri and Kasai.

Suddenly I hear a thundering footsteps coming towards the kitchen.

"Is there no breakfast?" A lot of voices chorus looking into the kitchen. When they see only me and Phichit, they all sigh. 

"Where's Yuri?" I hear one of them grumble. 

"Ya it's unlike him to not even leave us anything to eat." I hear another person complain. 

"And Yuko's out today too!" I hear someone else complain.

"You're right..." I think in my head. It's unlike Yuri to just disappear... and with Kasai too? Seriously where on earth could they be?

Hello lovely human beans~

How was the chapter? I know not as interesting as it could have been... the plan was for there to be MASS PANIC from everybody... but I thought of a better idea...(better as in more fun for me to write), so I changed it.

But I promise you that next chapter things will get exciting!... so I hope that you bear with me.
