Honestly we had no idea it was going to happen. But it did and there was nothing anyone could do about it.
Cashmere came to school dressed in black, something she never did because my sister always knew the latest trends and black was so not in style this time of year. I had been with Peeta so much that I had no idea what the big news was until Katniss finally asked what was wrong with her.
Cashmere pulled out an envelope and gave it to her. Katniss, however, could not read it. She silently began to cry as she gave it to Johanna, who read the following....
"To the Hadley family STOP We apologise for the delay in notifying you STOP Frances and Martin Hadley have been in an accident in London STOP Killed on impact STOP Come to London at your earliest convenience

Cashmere and I were now orphans according to the telegram that Johanna silently laid down on the table. The whole atmosphere of the table changed. Peeta held my hand tighter than ever before, Clove turned pale, Katniss silently wept, and Gale and Madge looked sorrowful. I didn't cry though. I had to be strong for Cashmere who was one step from letting the dam burst.
Silence was king and far from golden as we all sat around looking for answers. I had lost my parents which meant that we had no more financial security. No more luxury. I was used to this but Cashmere was not. She was always the one to fly to Paris in the summer and go to the London Season and stay at the Ritz Carltons and live lavishly. She did however possess a knack for making the best out of bad situations.
"I shall fly to London." was all Cashmere said as the lunch bell rang and classes reassembled for third period.

Peeta

I was shocked at this news. This I was positive was a very harsh blow to Cato and his sister. And I had no idea what to say to make him feel better. Cashmere was flying to London to handle the affairs there but that meant Cato was gonna have to be here all by himself brokenhearted.
As we walked home, his head was down and his hair was rustling in the wind. He looked so beautiful even in his sadness. I knew it was probably best not to say anything so we walked in silence.
I touched his hand as we walked in the house and once we sat down on the couch, I held him close to me and he busted loose.
