Chapter 6- Let Me Love You

I pulled in the back door of the Mellark Bakery and ran up the back steps. I banged on the door really loudly and shouted because I wanted him to know who it was.

Eventually Peeta answered the door and threw himself into me and sobbed into my shirt. I stood there for a few minutes just letting him cry while I rubbed his back softly.

Finally, he managed to dry up long enough to let me in his house and I was shocked at how so poorly he lived. His kitchen roof leaked and it was dusty and very cramped. The living room was slightly better but it was musty and dark. Finallly Peetas bedroom was the crown of infamy because it was so tiny and his closet had old and patched up clothes. I was determined that I would never have him go through this later on but that wasnt what mattered right now.

Peeta laid down on his bed and cried his eyes out.

"Whats wrong, Peeta? You weren't like this earlier."

"My dad is in jail. I don't know where he is. I have no one now! No one is there for me..." he sobbed once more.

"That's not true you have me. I'll take care of you."

"What? What are you trying to say Cato? And why are you being so nice to me?"

"I'm saying I'm gonna take care of you. Who would want to leave such a handsome young guy like you?" I said.

He started to dry up now and he sniffed as he looked at me. I looked back at him with a gaze that I couldn't help showing.

And then it happened. He leaned into me and I leaned back into him. My arms were around his neck and his arms were around mine. And then our lips met....

Suddenly I felt the most amazing sensation I had ever felt. I was kissing him. Our tongues were fighting for dominance and he eventually won and he was exploring me. I put my hands up his shirt and I felt myself trying to pull his shirt off. He was pulling mine off and he started kissing my neck. I moaned loudly and I heard him whisper in my ear...."Let me love you"

I whispered back...."You can do whatever you want. Just hold me."

An hour later we laid on the bed tired and sweaty from making out. I looked at him and I said "Cato, I love you so much. I didn't think I could love you until I met you."

"I didnt know what love was until I met you in the bakery. I fell for you the moment I saw you."

"Yeah,what a night that was." I giggled.

"So, you wanna be my boyfriend?" Cato whispered as he keaned into me again.

"I do" was all I said as we kissed again and pretty soon fell asleep in each others arms.
