Clem's POV
We slept in a dorm just me and Gabe. AJ loves Becca so they went into the room next door with Jesus and Molly. Me and Gabe were sitting and eating breakfast.
"What should we do today?" I asked.
"I don't know." Gabe replied.
I thought for a moment then had an idea.
"Don't know about you but i'm gonna go check out the area. Get used to it."
I said.
Gabe agreed and we grabbed some snacks and water as well as our weapons then headed out the door.
We saw Gill and Grace in the hall.
"Where are you guys going?" Grace asked.
"We're going to check out the area." I said.
They insisted on coming too so we let them. We walked down the stairs to the bottom floor of the dorm. We walked outside. There was electric fences surrounding the entire area. We walked down a path to the actual school. On our way down we saw a hole in the fence. But thought nothing of it. We walked over to the school and opened the door. We began to walk down the hall until we heard a voice.
"There's fucking nothing here Jim!" A man said.
Five men walked by but didnt notice us hiding in the lockers. They were fully armored with metal plates and spikes on their helmets. After they passed we snuck to the nearest classroom.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck. Not them!" Gill whispered.
"Who the hell are they?!" Gabe asked.
"It's a big group. Kinda like The New Frontier. They're called the Spike Raiders. They raid communitys for resources. Kinda like what Joan did." Grace explained.
"THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" One of the Spike Raiders yelled.
"Probably the people that live in this area! If you see anyone don't hurt them!" Another Spike Raider said.
"Trace, why did X even let you in?!" The other Raider said.
"We're brothers dumbass!" Trace said.
They bashed through the door as we left the room through another door.
"OVER THERE! GET THEM!" Jim yelled.
We ran for our lives. Bullets were flying past us as we ran back to the dorm. Everyone else was at the doors with guns.
"Spikes!" Gill said.
"I know." Jeremy said.
We all stood at the door. One of the Spikes ran infront of the door.
"In he-" He tried to speak but we shot him down. The other four ran towards the fences. I ran out and shot two more of the in the head.
Trace and Jim got away.
They'll come back.
