Neighborly Love

Chapter 1

Hailey's POV:

A rising morning sun peaked between the curtains, and made my eyes open a little. I looked the clock on the night stand, and groaned when it was barely 7am. I turned around and noticed Marcus sleeping peacefully other side of bed.

I would have just wanted sink my fingertips on his hair and kiss his face, since he looked so cute laying there eyes closed and shirtless. I gave myself a permission to move his hair off his face but that further I didn't allow myself to go. I understood that, sometimes I just had to push my needs and wants a side.

The life wasn't meant just for me to rule.

I stared Marcus still a few more minutes, and wondered how I had ended up on this point with him when just about two years ago we barely had talked each others, more than in the school maybe. And now all of sudden we walked hand by hand on streets, and kissed each others in public, so we could make people jealous.

About a year ago, after our graduation we made our choice and said byes to our families, and moved away. It was the best choice which I had ever made in my life. I was able to leave that all drama behind myself and start again in new environment with the most important person in my life.

It was refreshning but sometimes I still missed a few things from my hometown: my mom and brothers. Yeah, in plurar. After my moving away, I had got a lot of closer with my older brother Derek because without his help we wouldn't probably have got this apartment to us. He helped us with many other things too, like signing all those papers which we needed.

Me and my mom called each others maybe three or four times per week. We still had a close relationship even we weren't close each others.

A lot of things had happened in her life too since I had moved away. Good and bad ones. As one bad, she told that Benjamin had moved completely to my father's place and they didn't really see each others anymore. Mom never told me how that all happened and I never really wanted ask about it.

As good thing she had got a one new person to her side. A month ago, my mom called me and told me that she had engaged. The man's name was Richard and he was one of my mom's work friends, or at least she told me so when I first time heard about her and his dating.

I had ever met that Richard yet but going back to home on summer break was on my plan list, so then I'd finally see what kind of man he was. Mom of course had told just good things about him, and of course I believed her, and was happy for her, but it was some kind of obligation for me, to go at least introduce myself to my step-dad.

I felt a soft kiss over my cheek and landed back to reality from my thoughts. I looked my smirking boyfriend in front of me. "What are you thinking?" he asked. I just shook my head and mumbled 'nothing' to him before I laid next him on the bed.

Marcus caressed my black hair and kissed top of my head. "Try sleep, okay? I don't want you to be awake alone" he said and put his hand against mine. I nodded and closed my eyes but sleep didn't come that easily for me anymore.

I wait a few minutes eyes closed before I was sure that Marcus was asleep. I stood up the bed and walked to kitchen grab something to drink. I sat on the table and pulled a piece of paper in front of me where I started write down things which I needed to take with me to my mom's.

There was still 2 weeks school left before the summer break could start but I wanted be ready to leave as soon as possible when that starts. When I was ready with writing, I walked back to our bedroom and slipped under the covers.

The sleep took me this time almost right away when I closed my eyes.

I know that it was a little short chapter but next ones will be longer then. This was just some kind of 'summary' chapter where I wanted open you the situation where Hailey and others are now.
