Justin's POV:
"C'mon, I have no whole day time to wait you. I have a meeting later today" I yelled for Hailey while I was already standing top of the stairs. "Run!" I yelled and made Hailey roll her eyes for me before she started take quicker steps up.
I sat down on the grass to wait her and a half minute later she sat there next to me. "I won't ever again let you to choose where we will go jogging" she said out of breath which made me just chuckle. "Seriously, are you trying to kill me or something? Is this some kind of revenge for me?" she mumbled and looked me.
It wasn't but it would have been one for her to be honest if I had even thought that but I haven't. I wasn't that kind of person at all who revenged things. I mean, I may give some back sometimes if I get under a prank but I couldn't use a word revenge on that situation.
"I thought that you're in good shape since you bragged about that yesterday when we were jogging around the park" I chuckled. "I'm but not that good that you can force me to run over 200 steps up" she groaned annoyed.
I laughed even harder to her excuses but didn't comment anything anymore. "We're going back" I put rub my hands together before I stood up and started run down. "Already? I couldn't even rec-" "Run, Hailey!" I yelled to her and I could hear her groan again.
"Just know that I will kill you if I reach you" I heard her yelling after me but her words were just words because I was steps away from her. She wouldn't get me before we would be in my car.
-
I had been sitting in my car already about 5 minutes before she jumped in and put her seatbelt on. "I won't accept your requests to join with you jogging ever again. Just know that" she mumbled. "You need just some training and here would be one good trainer sitting next to you" I smirked and made her blush.
"Yeah, sure" she giggled while her cheeks were still red from blush. "I was being serious. At least we would have some good and reasonable reason to hang out which wouldn't make neither of us feel that's wrong"
She nodded lightly. "That's good point actually... I will think about that" she said before I finally started my car and drove to the nearest intersection. "Would you like to come drink something at my place?" I asked quietly, even I wasn't sure was that a good move.
I mean, we had got so much closer each others again. More than I had even realized, but I still wasn't sure was it just because she didn't want make me feel uncomfortable while she talked about her boyfriend. Or maybe she really had started realize that this was what she wanted.
That would have been totally one of those 'a dream came true' situations for me.
"Why not" I could hear her say but I wasn't sure was it really what she answered, or was it just my own head. "What?" It made her giggle. "I said, why not. Do you have that smoothie i your fridge right now because I really would need one right now. It would also be one kind of apologize for you to me for almost killing me"
"I think I have" I said. "And even if I don't, I can make you some because you deserve it. You did great job, even though I little mocked you there top the stairs" I continued and turned on my own yard.
I opened the door for her and let her go first in. "You have been cleaning, I see" Hailey commented and made me a little embarrassed because I had forgotten that I had left all those things laying on the floor, before I left.
"Yeah" I mumbled and pushed them a side out of my sight. "Blueberry or strawberry?" I asked when I went to my fridge and started look for fresh berries there. "Mix" she said. "Are you testing me?" I chuckled but took still both boxes out.
"Too hard work for you, Mr. I'm in better shape than this fat ass over here" she mocked me but it made me just laugh. "I'll take that as a compliment" I smirked and poured some juice in the mixer before I turned it on. "And I take that as an insult because you just admit that I'm fat"
The mixer went off and I took the glass from the cup board for Hailey. "No, I didn't and you know that yourself too" I commented and pushed the smoothie glass in front of her before I sat on the table too.
"I would be in better shape" she mumbled after taking a sip of her drink. "Oh, really? And become an anorexic?" She shook her head. "No, it doesn't mean that if I say that I want get in better shape. I mean like I want more muscle and...-" "Become a bodybuilder?" I chuckled.
She groaned. It was too entertaining to make her frustrated like now, even there were risks on that too. "You're testing my nerves today so hard. I don't know why am I still sitting here with you" she mumbled and finished her drink.
"Because you don't have anything better to do" I suggested and smirked. "Hey, you have some smoothie there?" I pointed corner of her mouth but she didn't seems to listen to me. "Let me swipe it off" I mumbled and took a little piece of kitchen roll, before I moved closer to her
She turned her head and looked me a little suprised before she rralized what I was doing. She looked so innocent and vulnerable when she looked me in the eyes while I swiped off that smoothie. "It's good now" I said but she still kept staring at me.
Her gaze moved slowly on my lips and she leaned slowly closer. "Hailey?" I mumbled and made her gaze return back to my eyes. "What?" she asked and made me shake my head. "Nothing" I mumbled.
She didn't say anything but looked me a little while still before she wrapped her arms around my neck and our lips connected. Finally, I thought.
