Chapter 27

Hailey's POV:

"So I'll come pick you up then" Marcus said before he started the car. I nodded and smiled. "Have a safe trip! Call me when you get back home" I said and we shared last kiss. "Sure, I love you" "I love you too" After that he closed the window and drove out of our yard.

Justin was in his yard mowing. "Hi" I greeted him behind the fence but he answered nothing. I walked to his side and next to him. "Heyyy" I pulled off his headphones and yelled. He gave me that 'what now?' look, turned off his mower and jumped off it. "Can I try?" I asked and jumped on that weird looking machine.

He chuckled himself and shook his head. "Have you ever even used machine like this?" "No" I tried turn it on from the key but it wasn't that easy of course. "Let me" Justin pushed me a side and turned the mower on. "Keep your feet here if you don't want it to turn-" I couldn't get on it before that machine already turned off.

"Stupid thing" I mumbled which made Justin laugh. "At least you tried" he mumbled before the air between us got thicker. "So did you have something to ask or? I don't think that was only reason you came" "I just wanted come check, how's it going here since we haven't talked for a few days"

"I saw you've been busy with your boyfriend and I didn't want interrupt" Justin said not looking at me. He jumped back on his mower and started continue his work before I could say anything to him. I tried yell him that I didn't want interrupt him too if he was busy. I waved for him as bye but got nothing back.

We didn't talk until after two days when I couldn't anymore stand with his ignoring. Justin picked up and answered 'hi, it's Justin' happily but when he realized it was me, his voiced changed back what it had been around me last days. Low and indifferent.

"What's going on, Justin?" I asked because I needed to know if something had happened to him during these days when I couldn't have been in contact with him

"Hailey, don't you understand how big effect you have on me. After your birthday night and after your words about your relationship and quitting it, I started already think that maybe we could work" "I used that night imagining what it would be like to live with you. Wake up next to you every morning, have you close to me..." then he sighed.

"I thought that next morning too and got a little excited to be honest when I heard he was here waiting for you. I thought that you would-" he chuckled and bit his lower lip to prevent his tears running down his cheeks. "That sounds probably the most selfish talk but I- I thought that we would become a couple. I think I loved you Hailey"

"I love you too, Justin" I hurried to say but then he quit the call. Beep beep beep. I tried call him again but he didn't accepted to answer. He left me no other choice but text him

Hailey | Justin

"Justin, you know exactly how I'm feeling toward you"

"Do I? I'd not be so sure about that"

"What do you mean?"

"That I can see how much there's going on between you two, you and that Marcus guy. You can't keep telling me that you don't care about him"

"You caught me but Justin... I love and care about more of you"

"I don't know can I let myself believe in your word because when I do it, you're again on that Marcus' arms and I..."

"You what?"

"I let my heart broke again. I don't know, do I want let it happen again"

"Justin"

"Hailey"

"I'll break up with him"

Minute later when Justin noticed my message he called me. "Hailey, I don't want be that person who makes you break up with person, who you clearly love" "But I don't" There followed a long silence and then deep sigh for Justin.

"Whatever, I have nothing to do with that then" "Of course not, I'll do it just because I want so" I ended the call.

This is just a filler chapter because I wouldn't want still go too fast with this fanfiction, even this had got pretty long already.

There will be maybe around 10 chapters left anymore, before the final chapter♡
