A week later:

Hailey's POV:

I packed the last suitcase in my car before I closed the door of backseats, and turned back to Marcus who was standing there and kicking little stones under his shoe. I was sad because we couldn't see each others until a week before school will start again. I went hug him.

"Are you sure that you don't want come with me?" I asked him still one more time and took that begging face on use when I looked at him. "Mom said that it would be totally fine if you come too when you're kind of part of family now" Marcus just chuckled and kissed my forehead before he pulled of me and turned me around. We started walk back to my car.

"Nope, I'm sure" Marcus said and put a seatbelt over me before he closed the door of my car. However, I still rolled the window open. "It's your own trip now. Just think, a month without my dry jokes, just you and your family" he said while he leaned to my car. "But I wan-" I tried say back but Marcus pressed his lips against mine and gave me a soft kiss.

"Enjoy your holiday! See you after a month" Marcus wished. It made me smile. "I'll call you every day" I promised before I rolled the window closed and waved byes to him.

The drive toward home could begin.

-

The road was peaceful still, and I was kind of happy of that I had decided obey Marcus and leave as soon as possible because I hated rush.

I turned to the acceleration lane and there I joined to motorway with other drivers and their cars. I turned the radio louder and speeded up. I looked the clock from screen of my car. Still 2 more hours and I'd see my mom's smiling face and meet my stepfather finally.

I was kind of nervous of that even I didn't find any good reasons to that. Maybe it was that I had got used to live and see mom without anyone beside me and my brothers by her side, and now there would be a new man in the house.

Or maybe it was that, I had to face again all that which I left behind me and hoped that I'd not have to go through it ever again. I had to face Justin, our neighbor again, and to be honest I didn't wait for it too much.

I mean, after that one night we just separed each others. There wasn't connection between us anymore when he told me that our 'relationship' if we could even call that one, had been the most stupid idea.

I had felt myself a loser long time, before I realized that it wasn't really my fault, or his. Maybe some bigger power wanted just show us that things weren't mean like we thought they would be. But I wasn't still ready to see him.

I wished that he would have decided move away, or at least went somewhere else to spend his summer.

A car behind me peeped for me, and quickly I noticed that my speed had dropped to 80 in 100km/h area. I started speed again and after few kilometers I noticed a sign which told me to turn right.

I turned and continued my way again. There was still one hour and 10 minutes left.

-

A familiar street opened in front of me when I turned to my home street. Familiar houses, familiar kids running around, memories... and a few houses away I could already see that grey roof of my old home.

I drove and parked my car in front of the house. Home, I was at home, I thought and breath in fresh air, fresher one at least which I breath in nowadays.

Finally I went knock the door...

This next text isn't about this fanfiction but..

I'd like to just thank everyone who came to say hi to me on Sunday. It was so fun to talk with you guys, and share that beautiful moment together. Meeting you made my experience and day even better! (plus that I got a chance to see Justin drunk later on that same day, lol)

I didn't expected that I'd have so many readers from Italy too (and people who would actually recognize me and link me to this account, lol) Hopefully I will meet you soon again, and more of you in London in July💕
