Hailey's POV:
I opened my eyes and looked, what the time it was from my phone. 7:30am. The house was silent, and I kind of enjoyed it when I had had to got used to that there was always someone yelling in the hallway in that apartment house where we lived with Marcus.
It was so enjoytable that I had woke up every morning, before my mom and Richard, so I could use all that time well by myself.
I stood up the bed and grabbed my morning robe from my chair before I made my way to the kitchen and started make coffee. It was the number one thing which I always do in the morning. While coffee was under work, I went get out mails from our mailbox.
There was two newspapers, a couple adverts, three bills and one little envelope where was my name. It was written with a beautiful hand writing that already it made me smile a little. Who had decided sent me a letter? It must be someone who knew that I wasn't in the town, since she or he had known to send it here.
I walked back to inside and took my red coffee mug from cup board, before I poured some coffee in it. I sat down on the table and started open the envelope which was meant to me.
When I got it open, I pulled there out two polaroid pictures and a little piece of paper:
"Do you still remember?"
I read first from that paper before I checked out the pictures which writer probably meant. The first one was of me sitting edge of the fountain, my grey summer dress with a flower bow over my still darker brown hair.
I got little flashbacks of that but I couldn't connect who with I had been on that day. The next picture was maybe from same day, I think. There I was keeping a small red rose on my hand and smiling big.
Even I tried my best to open my memory and find these pictures, and their picker from there, I couldn't find the answer. Anyways, it was a nice idea to send pictures like this for me, I thought but even nicer would be that I could know who sent them.
There was no name in that paper or behind the pictures. The envelope didn't smell anything where I could connect it. No clues this time but thank you anyways you mystery admirer, I mumbled myself the last part and put pictures and that small letter back in the envelope.
I finished my coffee and made my way back to my room to change my clothes. There was coming a warm day today, so I decided dress up my light yellow summer dress. I tied my hair in pony tail and went in my bathroom to put some makeup.
Ten minutes later, I could hear how my mom and Richard woke up. They made them way to kitchen and mom yelled me why I had left a used filter bag in the coffee machine. I sighed out loud and ran to the kitchen grab it out of there, and throw it to the biowaste bin.
"Better?" I asked and walked back to the bathroom finish my makeup.
-
I had heard that some of our old classmates had organized some kind of party where we all could meet again.
We had got a invite letter of it about a month ago too but on that moment, we didn't find any interest to go there with Marcus but now after Charlotte had mentioned me about it and how she was at least going there, I wanted go too.
The party should be on Saturday, and I had still so much things to do before that. I should go and get my dress which I brought to repair a week ago, do my nail because they look so awful, after I had helped mom with garden tasks, and so many other things.
Three days weren't enough for me to do that all, I thought. I needed more time but I couldn't get it. I should have started earlier all this, so I wouldn't be pressed in the corner again.
Even I was in the summer break, everything seemed to fall over me and give me stress which I wanted leave behind my back for a month and half.
The biggest reason to my stress wasn't all these undone things but it came from one person, who happens to live just a few hundred metres from our house. Even we made a peace with Justin, I had to still try stay away from him because I could see from his eyes that he still wanted me.
He has tried so hard to meet me last days that it has already started feel bad to refuse to his offers every times. He was such a nice and kind man but we both know exactly how things are and how they shouldn't go, even he liked play dumb when it came to that topic.
"Hailey, are you going to pick up that dress today?" I heard suddenly my mom's voice calling me. "Yeah, I am" I yelled back and looked the clock on my wall, and suprised a little how much it already was. "Well, you better hurry up then or you'll leave from the bus. It's here five over-" "Nine, I know" I mumbled and rushed to the hallway get my bag.
"Will you come back for lunch, honey?" mom asked me and I shook just my head. "I don't know, probably not. I have so many things to do before Friday still and I would like to do as much as I can today" I told and took my bus card to my hand, before I made my way to the bus stop.
