Hailey's POV:
It was a peaceful Saturday morning and I was sleeping like a baby when someone or someones stormed in my room and started sing:
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Hailey. Happy birthday to you"
A little smile spread on my face even my eyes were still closed. Slowly I opened them and saw my family standing in front of me. Mom was holding a cake where was a 20 candles. "You know, what to do" mom said and I nodded. I blew out the candles and sent my wish with them.
"What did you wish?" Benjamin, who had seemly also decided finally show up to mom's place, asked. He had ever had idea how these things goes. "You can't say the wish out, you dumbass" I rolled my eyes to him and stood up the bed.
"Sadly I have to tell that we don't have any bigger gift for you than this" mom handed me a envelope were was a card and some money. "Mom!" I yelled when I counted the moneys. "Bigger gift? What the hell are you talking about?? You can't give me this much... this is way too much" I looked shocked the money on my hand.
"You have earn it. I have done a little research and I heard that you have done amazing at school, so you totally deserve a little... okay, a little bigger reward of it" mom said smiling and handed me the money back which I didn't accept to take. "You have deserved it"
I hugged mom and thanked her one more time before I sat on the breakfast table. We started eat. They have collected all my favorite food in same table which made me thing, did they tried to get me fat or something. It felt so bad to let most of those delicious snacks without any touch but I just couldn't get them all in.
After the breakfast, mom told me to go change my clothes because someone would come pick me up soon. A little hope that it would be Marcus teased my mind. It would be fullfill my all needs.
We hadn't talked for weeks now. I missed him so much that I was already scared that seeing him would be nothing but me crying on his arms and saying repeately: "I'm sorry, I love you so much"
But it wasn't him. It was Charlotte who wait me in front of our house in her dad's old car which was actually officially hers now. "And there the birthday girl comes. Does it feel any older now? Any pains in the back?" she giggled. I stood there a little moment and tried spot the differences in the state of my affairs but nothing.
I shook my head and giggled back. "Not really, same old" I mumbled before Charlotte joined back to the road. "So where are we going?" I asked when we turned toward the center.
"First at all, we'll go get you cute new nails. Then we'll bring you to the hairdresser to get some spicy to that magpie's nest look and last but no least, we'll go to my place where I have some new dresses which you can try and choose your favorite. Do you want more details?" Charlotte looked me. "I think that's enough" I told and made her smirk lightly.
"Good because I wouldn't have anyways told you more"
So our first stop was at nail studio where I got a long light pink nails with little diamonds on them. In the hairdresser, after a long fight with Charlotte about will they dye my hair or not, we ended up keeping that black color on my hair. The hair dresser just made me a braid crown and curled the rest of my hair
Our last stop was at Charlotte's place where wait almost ten different dresses which all looked so good. "I can't choose" I told her but it wasn't the answer she wanted to her. "I can, just try them first. I can help you later if you really think that you can't handle it" she said and laid on her bed to wait that I would be ready.
