"Hello?"
"What should I wear?"
"Huh?"
"For the date, you idiot."
"Oh, something a little fancy but not too fancy."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I don't know... wear a dress?"
"Hmm fine, that narrows it down SOOO MUCH."
"Okay okay I'm sorry, wear a dress that you are comfortable in but like you'd still wear it to like a fancy restaurant."
"You are no help at all! Tell me where we are going?"
"Haha nice try," Linda laughed and cut the call and stared at the piles of clothes in front of her. She was in no better situation than Jimena. Even though she knew where they were going. Urgh. She peered at the clothes that were thrown askew. They were strewn around her king sized bed. She had way too many clothes. She'd narrowed it down to about fifty dresses. Damn it.
"Honey..." she heard a knock at her door. Her mom.
"Yeah mom," Linda asked, focusing all her attention on the pile of clothes hoping that it would decrease if she stared at them long enough.
Her mom laughed at the situation. "Do you want some help sweetheart?"
"Yesssss, pleaseeee."
"Haha, fine. Give me a few minutes."
She quickly went through the clothes. After about ten minutes, she picked out a navy blue dress with a V-neck. It ended at her knees. It had lace full sleeves. And she picked out a golden belt, golden necklace an earrings set and some navy blue flats.
"Do you want help with hair and makeup."
"Uh huh," Linda nodded her head, still in awe of the outfit that her mother had picked out.
"Honey, don't act so surprised I do have some fashion sense ya know?"
"Uh huh," Linda nodded stupidly again, still speechless. Her mother flicked her on her forehead playfully.
"Heyyy what was that for?" Linda asked rubbing her forehead.
"For having no faith in me."
"Hmph."
"Now shut up and sit down," her mom instructed, pushing her towards the vanity.
Linda did as she was told, allowing her mom to do whatever it was that had to be done.
She curled her hair a bit. She put on a bit of eyeliner. Nude lips. Not much. She knew that Linda hated makeup.
Linda quickly changed and thanked her mom. She got her motorcycle keys and hopped on the bike. (How did she manage with a dress? This girl had mastered karate in high heels, riding a motorcycle with a dress was child's play to her. Why high heels...?... circumstances)
She sped through the roads, reaching her university in about ten minutes. She got the rose she'd saved for Jime. She always thought that one rose was more thoughtful than a bouquet. She rushed up to her dorm and knocked. Jime opened before she could knock the second time.
She was wearing a black strapless dress that reached mid thigh and she had golden accessories on.
Linda smirked, "Eager much?"
"If you were stuck being a third wheel while a straight couple acts all cheesy and gooey in front of you, you'd be eager too."
Linda laughed. "Sad babe, that's just sad. Anyways, if you don't like cheesy... I guess I shouldn't give you this rose and tell you that you look stunning."
