Linda woke up to the sound of two worried voices and water splashing on her face. She'd relived the day. All over again. Damn it. Just when she thought that she could escape. The blood flowing down her t-shirt,  the satisfied smile on her face and the last words that left her mouth... I love y...

"Li, you okay?" Amia's concerned voice resounded. She was stroking her cheek, her eyes, her obsidian orbs, boring into hers.

"I'm fine Hals, don't worry about me," Linda replied, cupping her cheeks.

Amia looked confused, "Hals?"

And Linda was pulled back into the present.

"Oh umm sorry," she mumbled.

She then turned to her right, when Jimena's gaze was diverted from hers.

"Jime?" Linda's voice cracked. Linda led her hands to Jime's, intertwining their fingers, "Look at me babe."

Amia quickly got up and walked away. Her cheeks heating up.

Jime turned and looked at Linda, her blue eyes staring into the purply grey. Both of the exotic hues, clashing.

"Hmm," Jime muttered, her gaze flickering down to Linda's lips.

Linda smiled and placed a long and soft kiss on her lips.

"I'm sorry about that..."

"About what?" Jime asked, genuinely confused.

"It's just..." now Linda's eyes averted from Jimena's.

"Listen... I promised you one thing yesterday, and that was not to ask you about your past. So, I won't. Kay? You don't have to tell me, so relax."

And Linda did. Her shoulders slumped a bit from their rigid position and her muscles loosened up.

"Alright, you owe me a date today... so when are you picking me up," Jime asked, smirking and raising her eyebrows at her.

"Hmmm, I need some time to prepare, so... I'll pick you up at seven," she said, quickly glancing at the clock. It was nine a.m., so she'd have plenty of time to prepare and get ready herself.

"Prepare? Well this is going to be interesting," she said raising her eyebrows.

"Expect no less than magnificent, my dates are always amazing, ask H... nothing."

Jimena ignored the last part but her curiosity couldn't help but wonder who 'Hals' was.

"Kay byee," Jime said, getting up, and preparing to leave.

"What? No goodbye kiss?" Linda asked playfully.

She walked over and placed a peck on her lips. Jimena chuckled, and left, leaving Linda with a goofy grin on her face.

Linda left her dorm with a smile on her face. Ideas running through her head. She went over to her car and drove down to her house.

"Hey ma, hey pa!" She ran over to them and gave them a big hug.

They looked at her in bewilderment. "Honey... are you feeling alright?"

"I feel amazing! I have a date. With this girl called Jimena. She's amazing!"

"Well I'm happy for you," her mom said, smiling, happy that her daughter had finally moved on. She hadn't been able to stand Linda breaking down everyday, and always lost in thoughts of her dead girlfriend. Her emptiness. Her aloofness. Their daughter was back, her and her husband shared happy looks.

"Hey cuties!" She picked up Rick and Ria twirling them around. She ruffled Rick's mess that he called his hair.

"Hey big sis," they said in unison, grinning from ear to ear.
