Six years later

She zipped her black leather boots on her feet. Ran a hand through her hair and put her helmet on. She straightened out her white top and pulled up her black jeans a bit as she swung her leg over her Harley. She tightened her sleeveless leather jacket around her and started the engine. The bike roared into life. She smirked and stroked the side of her motorcycle, "Let's go baby." She soared. Not in the air, but on the road. With the flaps of her jacket fluttering and the strands of her hair, that fell outside of her helmet, flying. She felt the speed, the adrenaline pumping through her nerves. And the pang of fear and thrill in her chest as she made turns and finally came to a stop in front Jimena's apartment.

Linda had moved in with her parents for sometime after college. Then about a year later, once she got recognised as an artist and the money started rolling in, she bought herself a beach house. Or as Rick and Ria called it, a beach mansion. The two fifteen year olds loved spending time in their older sister's house. And most of the time, Linda didn't mind the company either. She used the 'Effusion of Colours' as her studio, but she had one in her house as well. Jimena became a well known lawyer but she didn't really spend on her house- in hope that one day, she'd be sharing Linda's.

Linda didn't even have to get off her Harley, because Jimena came rushing out of the gates as soon as she took her helmet off.

"Hey Li!"" she said giving her a peck on her lips.

She seemed unusually excited.

"Hey Jime, is everything alright? you seem..." she paused searching for the right word "High."

Jimena laughed , "Everything's fine babe."

"Let's go then!"

"Where are we going Liiiii?"

"Six years baby, and you still haven't figured out that..."

"I know, I know," she said, cutting Linda off, "It's a 'surprise'," she grumbled making air quotes, "But it's worth a try."

Linda chuckled, "It's never going to work."

"I know..." she said sadly.

"Aww come one.... I just love seeing that look of surprise on your face. It's really cute... and authentic."

"What really surprises me is that you still haven't run out of ideas."

"My creativity and imagination are endless."

"Blah, blah," she mounted the bike and held Linda's hips, "Let's go."

The touch still sent jolts through her body. And Linda jumped at the contact, Jime smiled. Their love was never going to fade away. She was sure of that. Six years. They'd loved each other for six years, and everything was still perfect. They were unmindful of the bumps along the way. They had each other... what more could they ask for?

Linda took her horse riding that day. They mounted on their steeds, both with dark black hair. They rode around the beach for hours, laughing and joking around and just enjoying each other's presence. The hooves of their horses trotted on the water. Sending sprays of foam all around. The tang of salt in the air, giving Linda a feel of home. The sea.

"Hey Jime."

"Yeah Li?"

"There's a dog there," she said pointing to a dog that was staring at the both of them creepily.

Jimena looked at it, petrified. Linda chuckled and rode over to her and slung her arm over her shoulder.

"Hey doggie, come here. Jime has food in her purse," she said holding up her purse. Jimena shrieked and slapped her hand away. Linda burst out laughing and took Jime's reins and they rode a little bit farther. Then Linda turned back.
