After school, Amia walked towards Linda's Sculpture class so that they could go to their dorm together. She politely waited outside as Linda came out looking frustrated. She had a boy tailing her. The boy was... wow. His blue and green eyes were looking at Linda pleadingly and he was asking her to hear him out. When he noticed her, he stopped in his tracks... "Haley?"
"Urgh why do people keep calling me that... well by people I mean you and Linda... but still. No my name is not Haley. My name is Amia," she rambled, "And it looks like you are bothering my friend here so, not to be rude or anything, but shut up and get lost."
The boy shut up, but because of shock. He looked as if he'd been slapped, which was what Amia was planning to do next if he didn't get out of her and Linda's faces. But what he had said had also perked up her curiosity... he'd known Haley. He could be the source of information that she'd been searching for.
Linda chuckled at what Amia had said, this brought her out of her thoughts.
"Come on Amia, let's go."
Amia gave one last glare to the boy for good measure then followed Linda out of the building.
"His expression was hilarious," Linda said laughing loudly now.
"Haha yeah... I get a little protective of my friends..."
"Oh you thought? Oh no no no eww. Juan wasn't trying to hit on me."
'So that's what his name is...' Amia thought.
"Then?" She asked a little confused, but she kind of expected the answer she got at the same time.
"Haley."
"Hmm. So when do you want to go to Starbucks?"
"Let's go to our dorm, get changed and leave. Hey do you want me to introduce you to some of my friends?"
"Hmm that would be cool. I've met a few people but like I would love to meet more."
Linda quickly retrieved her phone from her back pocket and started texting her friends, telling them to meet her at Starbucks in ten.
...
"I said TEN MINUTES! Come on! How long does it take to change?"
"Almost... there..." Amia said, from the other side of the door, trying to pull her tights up. Urgh tights. Why had she chosen them? No idea. But they were almost on... no point in changing again now. She huffed as she managed to pull them up completely. Now all she had to do was put her sundress on and she was done. Well that and shoes... crap... what shoes was she going to wear?
She really wanted to make a good impression on Linda's friends, so she was dressed to impress. She'd put her hair in a fishtail braid, she'd worn black tights and a cute white sundress with navy blue patterns. She through on some white cut shoes, and she was done.
When she walked out of the room Linda sighed.
"Finally! My oesophagus is screaming for coffee."
"Well don't blame me if I wanted to impress your friends..."
"Who are you going to impress?"
"Any cute guys?"
"I've invited my two taken guy friends, their girlfriends, and my gay friend with his boyfriend. I fail to see who you are going to impress."
"Oh come on..." Amia whined, "Here's an idea..." she started cautiously, "How about that... Juan guy?" She asked and blushed profusely.
"Juan? And I thought you didn't like love... and all the touchy feely crap."
