Her final class that day was Sculpture. She had her earphones in her ears. She realized that once Jimena came into her life, music had become a bigger part of her life than it had been before. She let the waves of the music flow into her and flow out of her as movements of her hand. One form of creativity transforming to another- that is the beautiful thing about art, each and every form is bound together, they are all faces of the same dice. Interwoven. She let her palms create the ridges and curves, the bumps and hollows, the smoothness and texture. She drew the clay into the shape that had been molded in her mind. The idea morphing into a beautiful statue. Graceful swishing movements, harsh cutting movements, an art full of oxymorons. Oxymorons like love. She treated the clay as an extension of her own arm. Motioning it to follow her will, bending, tugging and twisting until she was satisfied with the outcome. It was a good sculpture. Not her best. But she was proud nevertheless. It was of a girl with long hair in a dress made of butterflies. She didn't know why but she's felt obliged to make it. The idea had appeared in her head out of nowhere. Her teacher came over and complimented her handiwork before going around to the other tables.

She was one of the first out of the door when class ended. She rushed back to her dorm and called Jime to tell her to get ready. She was a little nervous but she was pretty sure her parents would adore Jimena. I mean what was there to hate? She was beautiful, polite, funny and kind. She had a breathtaking voice and she was talented. If her parents didn't like her, there was surely something wrong with them. Linda tied her hair into a messy bun, took a quick shower and changed into some sweatpants and a graphic t-shirt. She was going home. She grabbed her car keys from the kitchen counter where Amia had placed this cute little key holder that she'd gotten from a garage sale, and she made her way to her car to find that Jimena was already waiting for her. She had her headphones on, eyes closed and she was bobbing her head crazily to whatever song she was listening to. She looked like a child of a chicken and a duck. A cute one though. She danced her around playing her air guitar. Linda started laughing as she fell on her knees as the end of the song came. Jimena ended it with a dramatic strum on her imaginary guitar. Linda chuckled and pulled her up. She jumped up in surprise.

"Oh hey, I didn't see you there!" She was blushing- embarrassed.

"Awww baby don't be embarrassed that was so adorable!"

She blushed more, "Let's just go..."

Linda shook her head and pulled Jimena into her.

"Hey, listen to me, you don't have to hide stuff from me. I love you. And that includes all your weirdness and craziness and absolute stupidness."

"I AM NOT STUPID! You are stupid!"

"Haha, calm down woman! Fine, fine you aren't stupid!"

Jimena was wearing a black skirt that reached her knees and a white shirt with the collar button done. Her hair had been curled at the tips and she was wearing light nude makeup.

"Babe, you are meeting my parents, not going for a bloody interview," Linda laughed.

"Since when did you start using the word 'bloody'?"

"Since you started being mature!"

"Hey, I'm mature ok?"

"Sureeee," Linda muttered, imitating Jimena's air guitar performance.

She blushed a deep shade of red, "I'm never dancing in front of you ever again," Jimena said, looking down, pouting and crossing her arms.

Linda moved closer to her and engulfed her with her arms, " Aww baby don't be like that, I was just teasing you," Linda cooed, trying to capture Jimena's gaze. Jimena smiled and pecked her on her lips.
