Abaddon was a silent man. He sat on the chair by her bed but kept his lips closed, she had nothing to say while she counted the time and thought about everything until her head began to throb excruciatingly. Thousands of thoughts ran through her mind and she didn't know what to believe anymore, lately her life has been a mess. She glanced at Abaddon to see that he was staring at the floor, tapping his foot. He was wearing all black and for once she wondered why any of them did, it seemed like Lucifer wore a lot of black too. She guessed because white was pure, good, and black was dark. She wasn't sure why either of them wore all black.
"Abaddon, is it?"
He raised his head apprehensively, talking to humans was never a skill of his. But talking to Lucifer's soulmate made his stomach twist uneasily, perhaps he was worried he would say the wrong thing and it would get back to Lucifer's ears.
"Um yes, yes, it is."
"Why Abaddon?" she interrogated. He shifted in his seat uncomfortably, rubbing his hands together.
"I'm unsure, I guess my Father chose it because of the meaning. The Destroyer."
Estrella raised her eyebrows in question, she didn't know that his name meant that nor that it had a meaning.
"Wow," she paused for a moment in thought. "don't you hate God or your Father? Whatever you want to call him."
Abaddon exhaled softly, she was the first in decades to ask that question.
"I don't despise him like Lucifer does, but I do feel like he turned his back on us without remorse and when we stood up to that he punished us without thinking twice about it. As if we no longer mattered. So, I do despise what he did."
"I never read the bible," she admitted while pushing herself to sit up. She whined slightly, feeling the soreness still in her body. "never believed in it so I guess I'm not caught up with what happened and what's happening."
"Let's just say that there's a lot of anger on both sides and my Father is just sitting back watching us fight one another. I hate that I fight my siblings but sometimes we do things we don't have to. I think Lucifer stopped caring long ago."
"What's the beef between him and Michael though? It seems like they're more at each other's throats than anyone else." she said and Abaddon chuckled eerily.
"It's a long story, Estrella."
"Well, I'm not doing anything but laying here. Tell me."
Abaddon hesitated at first, staring at her. He didn't think he should tell her but the look in her eyes made him give in.
"Michael and Lucifer were close, since Lucifer Is the oldest brother we all looked up to him in many ways. Michael looked up to him, wanted to be exactly like him. He followed Lucifer around, observed him, it was a little ridiculous for the rest of us to watch. We even teased him about it. Then when Lucifer began to change, Michael began to spy on him and report whatever he found out to our Father. He even pretended to be on Lucifer's side just to get information. To most of us it seemed like he was trying to become the favorite son. So, he betrayed Lucifer before anyone else did. And when Lucifer found out on his own, I'm not sure how he did, he reacted in anger. What he did though will never be forgiven..."
"What did he do?"
Abaddon inhaled as he recalled that horrible moment replaying in his eyes.
"He tore off Michael's wings in front of all our siblings, that's when we realized our brother who we thought we knew well was not our brother anymore. That was the day we were sent to the Underworld."
Estrella's mouth dropped open, she was stunned. Trying to imagine Lucifer angry enough to rip off an angel's wings was difficult for her, but she knew Abaddon wouldn't make something like that up.
"Michael doesn't have wings?"
Abaddon shook his head and said; "ever since then Michael has wanted revenge because Lucifer took away the one thing he cherished dearly to his heart."
"Why did you follow Lucifer after that?"
"I wasn't the only one, six other brothers followed. We felt the exact way he did, betrayed, hurt, unwanted. There were many others who agreed but when Lucifer tore of Michael's wings, they switched sides out of fear. I don't know if they feel the same way but they're still in Heaven. Lucifer called them out after they switched, called them cowards. I can imagine that they spent the next decade proving their loyalty." Abaddon said in a unfazed tone, Estrella swallowed hard.
"Are you afraid of him?"
"No, I'm not," he replied bravely. "but I know not to push him. Lucifer doesn't have limits, well he didn't until you were born."
Estrella saw the smile creeping across his face so she dared to ask.
"What do you mean?"
"Dear, don't tell me you haven't noticed?" he sounded shock, which he was. He thought it was clearly obvious to anyone. "you are his limit, strength and weakness. Why do you think he's been here protecting you and demanding us to be here too? He'd do anything and everything for you, Estrella. Even my siblings know that."
Estrella didn't know how to swallow the fact that she had the Devil wrapped around her finger.
"I guess it's a little difficult to believe that the Devil feels that way about me. If it's true, why has he tried to kill me?"
Abaddon wasn't sure if his answer would be good enough for her but he wanted to try to answer all the questions that made her doubt.
"Well, the affect you have on him while you two are apart is outstanding. I guess you would say it would be like a human missing someone and feeling upset while they're gone, but it affects angels differently. He despised how you made him feel, the sickness he got slowed him down and made him vulnerable to anyone. He has tried to end your life to stop the affects but the feelings he has for you wouldn't let him do it, then he spends days after the attempt in guilt."
Estrella reached over to the tray by the bed and grasped a cup of water, the only liquid her nurses allowed her to drink.
"I've never been loved so much that they wanted to kill me just to stop." she laughed, before drinking the water.
"We are talking about Lucifer here, he was never good at handling his emotions."
She was about to respond but when the door opened she remained silent, just so whoever it was didn't think she was losing her mind and talking to herself. Two nurses walked in with Stephanie trailing behind them.
"How are you doing, hon?" asked the oldest nurse. Estrella has met her a few times while she bathed.
"Good." she was puzzled to what was going on.
"We're sending you home," the other nurse exclaimed. 'we're going to change your bandages and show you how to properly clean the wound. Then we'll help you change."
Estrella smiled falsely, but looked at Abaddon apprehensively.
"It will be okay." he promised but she didn't believe him.

Honestly I have more chapters to post, I'm just taking them slow so people have time to read a chapter before I post another. I did want to ask a question though, I do watch the TV show Lucifer and Supernatural and I am obsessed with both Lucifer characters. I have described Lucifer's look in this story, but I have not linked a picture. But in your opinion, which actor would fit Lucifer? And just to be clear, no this story is not secretly a fan fiction. I am just a freak that enjoys writing about Lucifer. I also wanted to thank everyone for reading this story so far, all of the support I get on any one of my stories is so overwhelming because this is my dream guys.
1) Mark Pellegrino.
or
2) Tom Ellis.
