'How could you!?' I shouted at the locked door

'It didn't mean anything baby!' He shouted back and hammered on the door.

'Yeah? What about all of the others?!' I shouted trying to reign in my wolf but the images flashing through my mind weren't helping and the room felt too small. He didn't dignify that with a reply and just kept banging on the door

'Baby, please let me in!' He'll never change!

I paced back and forth, tears streaming down my face when the bit of sense I had left snapped and I turned, jumping out of the window, dropped the two stories onto the grass, barely feeling the impact and shifted before running full steam right through the fence and into the forest.

I had to get away from him.

I was howling inside but I couldn't stop to let it out. I couldn't even begin to process what I saw.

She was all over him. He promised he stopped doing that when we mated. He promised!

She whispered into his ear and then he left with the tramp. I knew I shouldn't even have been there but I was going to surprise him for his birthday.

I followed, watching from behind some trees as she led him by the hand away from the party and the rest of his guests.

They didn't even flinch and it made me realise that this wasn't the first time that this she wolf was plastering herself to him like she plastered her make-up. Maybe she was one of the many when we just got together.

A snarl ripped from my muzzle at the very thought of it all and every little thing around me scurried into burrows and holes as I ran through the trees even faster than before.

'Baby, please it wasn't like that.' His voice cut into my thoughts like a bad taste and I blocked the mind link. Shit! He was in wolf form now which meant he could trace my scent.

Running head first into the stream I rolled around a few times and then ran in a different direction. The mark on my shoulder burnt right along with the ache in my heart and I knew that this was what Father told me about. Leave your mate and you leave a part of yourself behind.

He knew because my mother left when I was just a little girl.

He described it as one of the most painful feelings in the world and right now I wanted to cause Daniel that kind of pain.

'Bab-' He forced himself into my head when I got distracted and the panic in his thoughts had me grinning.

I wonder if it didn't mean anything to her when the Alpha decided to fornicate with a Beta female over his own mate.

I watched him lift her very short skirt and- I skidded to a halt and howled, forcing in it all the pain I felt at that moment-.

Then a scent caught my attention, cutting me off mid howl. It was the end of our borders to the South and I knew I had about five minutes to run before Daniel caught up to me (not that he could, I was the fastest in the Pack and the howl would never reach him fast enough to know which way I went.)

'I love you! I -'

'Bastard!' I growled again and took off toward the border but was stopped by a very large grey male, hackles up and ears plastered to his skull. At first I thought it was Daniel but then realized that this male didn't have the brown patch and breathed a sigh of relief.

'No entry.' He growled through a voluntary link.

'Please! I need to get away!' I lowered my head, showing my neck in hopes that he'd let me through.

'No entry!' He growled, a bit more viciously this time and snapped his teeth at my neck.

Please... I whimpered to myself...Please...
